This year marks the 25th anniversary of the TMNT franchise and to celebrate it a fan, who also happens to work in the film & TV industry, has decided to make a documentary about the Turtles. Based on the trailer the documentary looks to be quite good as there are interviews with TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird along with Brian Henson and the original voice cast for the cartoon. I'm a huge TMNT fan so it's really nice to see some behind the scenes stuff and general TMNT goodness.

Check out the trailer here.

I thought it was kinda cool that I went to the same high school as Kevin Eastman (not at the same time of course) Usually Maine doesn't really produce a lot of stuff like this. Kevin Eastman and Stephen King are two notables.

They reunited the entire 80s cast so I am really interested in seeing the resulting interview.

Too bad they couldn't do the crossover movie. ;_;

Man I loved TMNT. Buying the action figures was like a crack addiction for me. Once a year I'd have access to all the wonderful toys not available where I was living the rest of the year. I would binge.

I got my niece hooked on Turtles in Time a few weeks ago. I did my part.

Bonus points if it wasn't the XBLA remake.

I remember my cousin having a big collection of them that we would always play with. Nothing like those collections but a duffle bag of them. I loved those things.

I was the biggest turtle nut when I was a kid
The single most randomly hilarious moment of my life was being in the locker room of a rink as a kid, and 30 of us, sitting quietly. When all of a sudden, one begins...

Teenage mutant ninja turtles...

And others join.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles...

Still more pipe in.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles...

And then we all...

HEROES IN THE HALF-SHELL, TURTLE POWER!

We were Turtle nuts.

Wow, weird to think that TMNT is just as old as I am as a human being. :lol

Yeah, that kind of blew my mind when I found that out earlier this year. From now on, my birthday parties will be for me and the turtles! :D
