Come on! How can you not be excited about Tekken? Tekken 5 was the best tekken since Tekken 3, it's an excellent fighting game. However I doubt this will get a PS2 release.

Depends if it's worth the effort late in PS2 life cycle and they need a Tekken for PS3 launch. It could be like Tekken 3 => Tekken Tag in which Tekken 3 was ported to current hardware but Tekken Tag upgraded, could be the same for Tekken 5 => Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection.

I think the difference between Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag is far bigger than Tekken 5 and Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection though. Getting an upgraded Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection for PS3 would feel kind of cheap. Unless they upgrade it a lot and name it Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

GaF's view of the VF franchise has always been higher than Tekken's.

That's a historical fact. I remember when I did the preview on GA's main page about VF4 and people on the forums were like "OMG I MUST HAVE!!!"

Tekken to GaF has always been underwhelming.

I still enjoy it though.

Well I always preferred the art style of Tekken over VF. VF looked like it tried to mimic Tekken in it's style in VF Evo.
