Definitely agree with that so far. I think these two games though will revive my passion for fighters.

Even though Street Fighter is the game I want the most and will ultimately play the most, Tekken has built more hype from the trailers. I don't know why Capcom didn't drop individual hype fuel for each character. I know the media strategy has been hyper focused on the single player side, but I'd have been super excited to finally see what the characters looked like in game and what they did in a professional trailer rather than two scrubs playing and the watching the CPU fight each other.
He really does. It's so much better than the last few ridiculous iterations of him. Tekken has been on a roll with the last few characters shown.

Paul (except the hair this trailer grew on me) Law, Kazuya, King and Hwoarang trailers have been great so far.
Just Steve Bruce Bryan Yoshi Armor King and Raven then a few new characters to go and the roster is perfect

What I'm seeing here is in SF6 they have more realistic face but they kept the exaggerated bodies, meanwhile in Tekken 8 they vastly improved model compared to Tekken 7 but still kept more stylized face.
Its seems Capcom is more and more going towards realistic face in their games and I dont think every game is benefiting from it.

Even though the graphics aren't as good as the reveal trailer, graphics are going to probably be really impressive in person

I personally think there's at least another 6 more characters to go, Yoshi is a lock he's been in every Tekken.

Tekken isn't pandering to the fortnite crowd and Twitter. Which isn't to say Tekken is nailing everything, cough Paul, Nina cough, but it's certainly a step up from Sf6 regardless. Of course, I've never been that impressed with how the RE engine handles faces and hair but that's a whole other can of worms.

It was worse in Tekken 7, so far 8 has been a boost character quality wise, ...excluding Paul's haircut.

Difficult to master, easy for mashing. I used to mash like crazy in Tekken 3, everything looked so cool.

It works with Hwoarang, unless they changed him now, feels like there is some cool kick combo triggered no matter what you do, he just keeps going.

I still remember how I got my first PlayStation just for Tekken 3. Man, that game was awesome, though I could never fully figure out how to do King's chain grapples perfectly all the time.
