Quick summary of points above

vilaeth @ adventchildren.net said:
- They did have plans to push various [projects] forwards a bit, but things didn't go exactly according to plan.

- He and Yoji Shinkawa (designer for the Metal Gear Solid series) occationally keep in touch. Shinkawa has been taking part in certain things outside the games industry, such as the mecha design in "Godzilla - Final Wars", and travelling overseas, so Nomura is looking forward to see what Shinkawa will be up to in the future.

- For Musashi, he has a lot of detailed instructions from the development staff so it was easy to come up with images, but the number of them made it tough.

- For his self assesment of 2004, Nomura gave himself 50 points (out of 100, I believe) since while he released KH:COM this year like he said in his interview with Dorimaga last year, FFVII:AC still hasn't been. He didn't expect FFVII to expand as much as it has, and never thought he would be able to go to Venice. So it was a memorable year for him.

-production of KH2 is going well, and that for the voice recording they're up to more than 100 VAs and volume [of the game] is near twice that of the original game.

- The game that left an impression on his last year was "Quest of D" from Sega.

- The even that left the biggest impression was the screening at the Venice Film Festival.

- For his targets and promises for 2005, he says the latest Musashi title, FFVII:AC and Kingdom Hearts II are going to be released, and a title they're preparing now (as of now unannounced) is coming along steadily.

Isn't he tired? IIRC he was working on about 5-6 titles at once. (and more to come)

Square is whoring him out

Well, he's only directing Kingdom Hearts II. I can't imagine 5-6 projects would be "stressful" for him because you have to understand outside of Kingdom Hearts he's just a character designer. As an artist he's used to having multiple projects at once to stay afloat. This many projects at once can only be a GOOD thing for an artist and his recognition to the public. FFVIIAC and Kingdom Hearts II are probably the two big projects that he really works hard on, for the rest he just draws designs that the teams need to work on. I'm not worried, in fact I've grown to like this guy, he's expanded so much from his days of drawing Cloud and Rinoa lookalikes in FF7,8,10. He's now designing for a full CG movie, a mobile phone network game, a PSP action RPG, 2 PS2 action RPGs, potentially a PS2 action game (no idea what FFVII DC is yet), and even directing one of the PS2 action RPGs himself. With Final Fantasy and Disney characters in it no less. :)

What's being said in that NDS to PSP sore zore yadda yadda part?

(and nifty little picto chat drawing he did there, btw)
