I think it might be spliced together from individual level playthroughs, but that matters little to me. Each individual level was done in one try, apparently.

A lot of videos of super plays or speed runs are editted and include things that aren't really possible, but most openly admit it and say that they did it for entertainment purposes. You gotta admit they are very entertaining.

There is always SDA*. Not that much to choose from.

SDA is growing pretty fast..Nate (the guy that converts them to .avi files) always seems to have a steady stream of new videos for the past couple of months.

There's a couple of sites that host videos of people playing the console game, SDA (where mine are) is one of them, and http://homepage3.nifty.com/shin3/BIOHAZARD.htm comes to mind for Biohazard/RE vids.

I downloaded the DMC1 video frmo SDA and what a disappointment it was. That guy used Super Dante on NORMAL difficulty. How the hell can that be considered a speed run? I was hoping/expecting to see some godlike DMC skillz from a pro but I got a lameass video instead. ANYBODY can pull that shit off with Super Dante.......

My guess would be that if it's a regular unlockable option, then it can be used for a categorical run. I would think a non-super Dante on whatever difficulty you choose would be a different category to do.

Usually that's the result of people wanting a run to be done, and not that many fans of the game that see what's being requested willing to do one.

The best gameplay video I've ever seen is a speed run on Metroid Prime. It's a clock-in at 1:23 or 1:37 or something like that. There's a part in the latter half of the run where the guy is running to a save point, through a bunch of Space pirates and he's down to, like 7 health. He's frantically blasting the door and jigging around left and right while they're firing at him. I felt tense just watching it.

A speed run of Ninja Gaiden would be one of the best in the history of speed runs.

That'd probably be Radix's 1:37 100%, which has been beaten by kip (the 1:04 any% guy), who did it in 1:36 for my birthday, and then by bartendorsparky who got a 1:28 (and has 1 energy there..). And the PAL record is now 1:30, previously thought to be unheard of due to what Nintendo/Retro did to the PAL version.

So if you liked the 1:37, try checking out the 1:28 100%, the 1:04, or the 22%..fun stuff.

That Biohazard site at one point had some Ninja Gaiden videos, but I think they were only boss fights. I've never played the game, but I'd watch a run of NG.

There was a guy about a month ago who did Ada's Assignment for BioHazard4 speedrun. On the same page he also had, BH1, 2, 3, MGS2, and DMC. His skills were unbelievable, especially in MGS2. Anyone still have it?
