10. Apple juice
Clarified apple juice is thought to have less nutritional benefit than unclarified apple juice.

9. Tea
Tea is said to do everything from inhibiting bad breath to boosting the immune system.

8. Orange juice
Oranges and other citrus fruits are a rich source of Vitamin C and flavanoids.

7. Cranberry juice
Cranberries are also a good source of Vitamin C. There is research to support the myth that cranberry juice can help prevent urinary tract infections. It is thought to help prevent bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall.

6. Açaí juice
Pronounced (ah-sci-ee), it is a rainforest berry that grows on palm trees the Amazon.

5. Black cherry juice
There is evidence that black cherry juice may diminish exercise-induced muscle injuries.

4. Blueberry juice
Blueberries are high in fiber and low in calories. Be the life of the party with funky blue teeth.

3. Concord grape juice
There is some research to support that grape juice is good for the heart and helps reduce blood pressure.

2. Red wine
What's better than healthy booze? Does this mean you should drink a lot of wine? No, experts recommend no more than 2 glasses a day since too much alcohol can create health problems.

1. Pomegranate juice
According to CBS, "Pomegranate is the healthiest of them all because it contains the most of every type of antioxidant. It wins in all categories. And it's thought that it might do some very good things; it may protect against some cancers, such as prostate cancer. It might also modify heart disease risk factors, and it could be healthy for your heart. So pomegranate was the clear winner. "

Apple Juice is the best thing there, as it is the best drink ever. I may get myself some right now.

yeah, but when they say Apple Juice they dont mean the tasty clear kind that everyone likes. That one is basically kool aide there is so much sugar added. They are talking about the nasty organic sort.

1. Pomegranate juice

I have never heard of this - am I the only one?

Also, theres such a thing as blueberry juice? I need to walk up and down the juice section more often because I don't think I've ever seen some for sale.

Most stores have a fresh juice section in their produce aisle. Pomegranate juice is usually available.

(I used to work at Safeway!)

Yeah I would assume all of the juices on this list are supposed to be of the no sugar variety.
No sugar added, you mean? Because fruit has shitloads of sugar in it naturally.

my brother is slowly killing himself with huge jugs of sugary grape-cranberry juice from wal-mart. around one a day, in excess of 3,000 calories a bottle. it'd be funny if it weren't so sad when he talks about it being "100% all natural."

Do you mean that you've never heard of pomegranate juice, that you've never heard it was healthy, or that you've never heard of pomegranates? The juice itself is very expensive, but the fruit and juice are generally considered rather healthy.

I used to drink a glass of lemon juice (no sugar) every morning. It's not that hard to get used to.

Also, count me surprised to not see water on the list. I drink about 4 litres a day.

I can not remember hearing the word "Pomegranate." I mean I'm sure I've seen it on a menu or in a store but I couldn't tell you what color it is. The healthest juice in the world and I've never had some... what kind of life am I living gaf?

Is the fruit that makes Juicy Fruit taste so awesome (please say yes)

Pomegranate tastes amazing, but is a complete pain in the ass to actually get at the edible part.

Too much sugar in most juices.

That doesn't make it unhealthy by any means, it just means you can't overindulge.

As stated by the article:

Be careful of over-consumption because many of the juices on the list contain a lot of natural sugar, so at some point you can mitigate a juice's health benefits if you drink excessive amounts.

They are basing it off of anti-oxidant content, which is a possible (but mostly unproven) way to determine how beneficial something is to your health. Which is kind of strange that they made a beverage list, you're better off eating the whole fruit.

Just tell him that Ebola is all natural, too.

I didn't think it had to be red wine, but rather just red grape juice as the fermentation didn't really add nutritional benefit.

it probably makes me a philistine, but i just do not enjoy the taste of wine. i don't know if my palate just has an aversion to it or what, but each time i try it, i'm left completely confused as to how someone could drink it and say, "wow, this just tastes fantastic."

EDIT - I can't read! Sorry.

Do you brew your own green tea?

On another topic, Lipton has a commercial for White Tea, has anyone even heard of this stuff?

I drink about 12 oz of green tea in the morning, and about 10 oz of red wine at night. I love that red wine is such a healthy beverage :D Just enough to get a nice buzz before bed (although I hear you're ideally supposed to drink it with dinner.)

Natural sugars are also good for you, as they don't convert over to fats as easily and make you feel satiated for longer periods of time.

The kind that comes in glass bottles? I like it. It's priced the same as other similar beverage but has no high fructose corn syrup.

Minute Maid has a pomegranate/blueberry juice now, too, and it's fucking fantastic. Probably ridiculously high in sugar, but it's really tasty.

Is Welch's grape juice concorde grape juice? I dunno I don't like grape juice so I've never drank it. I hate those commercials though.

Same here. Wine, particularly red wine, absolutely blanks my taste buds.

It's a big part of the reason why my alcohol of choice with meals is almost always Sake or Beer.

how is red wine healthy?
Yes, scientists always seem divided when discussing red wine. I cannot see the benefits of having your liver process alcohol in a regular basis myself but what do I know.
