On another topic, Lipton has a commercial for White Tea, has anyone even heard of this stuff?

White tea is possibly better for you than green tea because white tea is less processed. I'd buy it from Stash or some other tea dealer instead of Lipton, though.

Many believe that the red wine correlation is not causal. People who tend to drink two glasses of red wine a day also eat fish and other healthy foods.

Makes sense, but that doesn't negate the fact that red wine alone, in moderation, is a deliciously healthy beverage.

Pomegranate tastes amazing, but is a complete pain in the ass to actually get at the edible part.

Apple Juice is the best thing there, as it is the best drink ever. I may get myself some right now.

Such fail ... It isn't even the tastiest form of liquefied apple. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind apple juice ... but it tastes like piss compared to a quality cider.

Is Welch's grape juice concorde grape juice? I dunno I don't like grape juice so I've never drank it. I hate those commercials though.

Welch's offers a couple of types, but yes, they do have concorde. What's great, is that concorde actually tastes the closest to kool-aid :p

My parents have a large concorde grape vine in the backyard (they had another rare variety that lips my mind, but it died long ago). We used to make jelly and juice in the fall. I have many fond memories of my family and friends heading to the backyard after the first frost, and eating them off the vine. They taste like candy ... its amazing.

I should get off my ass and make some this year, including a dessert wine which I've been meaning to do for a while.

how is red wine healthy?

Tons of antioxidants. Obviously the benefits are outweighed if you over-indulge, but a glass of wine every day or every other day is actually good for you.

Interesting that of these new "superfruits" you see marketed only Acai makes it on the list (I don't consider Pomegranite a "new" superfruit though only in the last few years have I seen it as a juice so maybe it is, whatever). I keep seeing noni, mangosteen, and a there's a third I can't remember everywhere these days touting the incredible health benefits.

Edit: Goji, that's the one, just remembered.

Research on natural antioxidants has only recently come to fruition.

I remember I was scoffed at in the controversial opinions thread for saying milk was crap and not awesome like juice. ME = VINDICATED.

Asians have been hyping the benefits of noni for years. I'd like to see some studies on it.

acai tastes terrible, i'm glad its lower on the list than most people thought. i love pomegranate stuff but i've only had it mixed with teas, need to try a 100% pomegranate juice drink.

I recently left the soda train and hitched up to the perrier wagon. settles the fizz craving and a 750ml bottle is cheaper than a similar sized coke.

what are the benefits? convince me to try this shit. i'll do just about anything to make my body run like a hot rod.

For lemon juice? Warm lemon juice does a few things; it acts as a de-putrifier (read: cleans out crap) and is very good for the heart as it is a blood purifier.

If you're really looking to increase your energy I suggest a sea-salt/water flush (the sea salt doesn't stay in your insides, don't worry.)

They kinda have a unique taste. I guess I'd put it somewhere between grape juice and maybe some slightly sour berry taste. Let's just say if you like grape juice, you'll probably like it.

I don't agree with that list. Water + whole whatever fruit they used to make those juices >>>> related juice.

Apple juice is pretty much just a sweetner. Unless it's high pulp or cider, it has virtually no nutrition. Just the sugary extract of apples, which in whole form are very healthy.

They're also severely understating the health benefits of green tea.

Facinating. How long does one have to do the sea/salt thing, what's invovled, and how much of an explosion we talking? lol

They say like 30 minutes to 2 hours after you down something like 2 liters of salt filed water.

I haven't done it so i don't know how bad it is. I imagine it's a easy majority of that original 2 liters plus whatever else you got backed up in there.

it seems like a simple process water + salt, drink it, rub your tummy so the boo boo breaks up, then rain crimson jihad on your toilet.

Imagine if you were making grape juice, but instead of using just grapes, you used the whole plant! Leaves, dirt, fertilizer and all!

4 freaking bucks I wasted because of gaf... bleh!

my brother is slowly killing himself with huge jugs of sugary grape-cranberry juice from wal-mart. around one a day, in excess of 3,000 calories a bottle. it'd be funny if it weren't so sad when he talks about it being "100% all natural."
Ask him if I can have his clock radio when he dies.

Also, pomegranate lemonade is delicious.

fuck the juice, try the actual fruit first, THEN try the juice. the fruit is godly...no seriously, in islam its known as the fruit of heavens....

its just incredibly juicy, sweet and just a hint of tart. you peel the fruit, grab the seeds and just put em in your mouth and chew softly to extract the juices out of the seeds. not hard because you dont wanna break them. once your whole mouth is saturated with the sweetness..you drink it, and spit the seeds out.

I looove pomegranates, and I actually like digging the seeds out. When they're ripe, the seeds are so juicy and lots of licking ensues. A very sensual fruit.

My father is a health nut and has been drinking pomegranate juice for years, and the one time I tried it, it was sooo tart and sour that I couldn't even take more than one drink! Maybe it was the brand he was drinking though; not sure if it's different with other types.

Funny thing is I found out were pomegranates were due to Needle in the old Conan cartoon. Needle was addicted to them. Looked up the fruit and I have been eating pomegranates ever since. Thanks Needle.
