BAUER POWER RETURNS IN JANUARY!

Post here to talk about 24 until them.

Apprently there will be romance. Also lots of characters may or may not be returning. Hopefully Chloe chocked on a dick. Maybe Chase will return with a bionic arm.

Uhh, seeing how it's so far away, this thread is rather unnecessary, don't you think? :P

Yeah, this thread will be forgotten long before the season starts. Wait at least 3-4 months :p

Episode - 4.1
Title - "Saving Sarah"

5:00 - 6:00 a.m.

Rabat, Morocco

A man named Vincent Harris is running through the streets of Rabat, Morocco. Three men are chasing after him. After a massive firefight takes place Harris seeks refuge in a church. Inside of the dark church a small choir is singing. Harris reloads his weapons and looks for an escape route. He pulls out his cellphone and dials a number. But he soon realizes the signal is being blocked, he must be close to a Government building that blocks cell frequencies because they can trigger explosive devices. As he looks out a window he sees an American flag in the distance. He prepares to leave the church and he sticks his head outside of the door, a sniper on the roof sees him and Harris takes heavy gunfire. He leaps out and returns fire. With two Colt 45's, one in each hand he shoots at the top of building and kills the sniper on the roof, his lifeless body falls to the ground. As the other men are reloading Harris makes a run for it and heads for the American flag. The men chasing him know how much is at stake and Harris can't get away. They fire at the running Harris. The men chasing Harris try to call for reinforcements but there cell-phones are being jammed as well. Harris sees the building with the American flag, it's the American Embassy. He runs and leaps onto the gate and tries to climb over. The Embassy Guard at his post is startled by Harris. With his M-16 in hand the guard tells Harris to get on the ground. Harris tells him he's an American citizen. Harris starts to take gunfire from the men chasing him and he pleads with the guard telling him to open the gate. The guard asks for identification but Harris tells him he's an undercover U.S. intelligence operative. The guard reluctantly opens the gate as Harris returns fire. The gate is open and the guard tells Harris to slowly enter and drop his weapons and go inside his guard booth. Just as Harris enters the gate a sniper on a near-bye rooftop shoots him in the chest. The guard ducks from the gunfire and dives into his booth and calls for back-up. The guard looks at the dying Harris. Harris reaches for him. He has a piece of paper in his hand. As Harris is dying he tells the guard to give the piece of paper to a man in Los Angeles, a man named Jack Bauer. Under heavy fire the guard starts to reach for Harris' hand. The sniper shoots Harris again. Back-up arrives and the Guard takes the paper from Harris' hand and runs into the Embassy as the U.S. Soldiers shoot at the snipers position and at the men on the street.

In the city of Oxnard, California a man is jogging on a beach. It's a cold gloomy morning. The sun is rising but clouds plague the sky and it looks like it could rain at any moment. Our first image in this scene is of a mans feet jogging on a beach. We pan up and we have a close-up of Jack Bauer's face. Jack is jogging, he's relaxed and just out for his routine morning run. Then out of nowhere we hear the thunderous roar of a helicopter approaching. Jack hears it but he doesn't even look. He knows who it is. The black helicopter flies over the jogging Jack and lands on the beach. A man in his late 50's wearing sunglasses and an expensive suit gets out of the helicopter. He walks over to Jack and leaves his sunglasses on even though there is no sign of the sun and it's on the brink of raining. Jack stops jogging and the man walks over to him. The mans name is Gabriel Harkin and he and Jack seem to be close friends. Under the roar of the helicopter Jack asks Harkin what's going on, but Harkin looks around and tells him they should go inside. We now see that Jack lives on the beach in a beach-house. Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done. The two go inside. We see that Jack has photos of Kim as well as pictures of Kate but the photos of Teri are noticeably gone. Jack has a photo of him at a rehab center in Arizona. Harkin is right next to Jack in the photo. It seems they met in rehab. Jack asks Harkin if he wants something to drink but Harkin wants to get straight to business. He tells Jack that his new assignment involves a women named Sarah Nassiri. Right here we learn that Jack no longer works for CTU. Jack actually works for an insurance company. But Jack isn't behind a desk, the firm he works for is called AllCor Insurance and they are involved in Ransom insurance and Jack leads his own Tactical Recovery unit. Harkin tells Jack that new intel suggests that Nassiri will be kidnapped today. Jack tells Harkin that he has to be in court in Los Angeles at 9:00 a.m. Harkin tells him that they just need to secure the girl and wait for further instructions. Harkin tells Jack that Sarah is the daughter of Arthur Nassiri, the President of the World Bank in San Diego, California. Harkin tells Jack that the man believed to be behind the operation is a man named Lincoln Hughes. Harkin opens his briefcase and shows Jack the file. Jack sees the photo of Hughes but he doesn't recognize him. Hughes is a black male in his mid 30's. Harkin shows Jack more photos of Lincoln's associates.

In the snow-filled mountains of Big Bear, California, a man named Paul Barnes is waking up. He gets out of his bed and goes into the bathroom and splashes water on his face. He looks into the mirror for a few seconds, then out of nowhere the door to his cabin opens and a man tells him to get ready. Barnes puts his clothes on and goes outside. As he looks outside he sees a truck approaching. He is in some sort of compound with heavy security presence. The truck parks and Barnes and a few other men open up the back. The truck is full of crates. Barnes and the others unload the crates and take them into a large farmhouse. Barnes looks at the driver and watches him meet with the boss, a man named Russell Crawford.

In downtown Los Angeles a motorcade of four SUV's is parking in front of a large office building. Two men get out of each car, leaving a driver in all of the vehicles, just in case something goes wrong they will be able to have a quick getaway. All of the men that get out of the car are large black males. They all surround the third SUV and the entrance to the building. Lincoln Hughes gets out of the back of the third SUV. He walks inside the building and is met by an even bigger security force. The men make Hughes and his operatives go through metal detectors and have them leave all there weapons in the lobby. The guards allow Hughes to enter and allow him to bring one of his guards. The guards take him to an elevator and press the button to the top floor. Hughes and his guard step into the elevator and the door closes.

Jack is in his bedroom getting ready to leave. He takes his shirt off and we see that he has a gunshot scar. Jack goes back downstairs and he and Harkin leave the beach-house and prepare to board the helicopter. A man is walking his dog on the beach and Harkin watches him carefully. The helicopter takes off and they head for AllCor Insurance Headquarters.

At the office building Hughes and his guard arrive at the top floor. They are greeted by even more security. All of the guards are tall white males and look like former military. After a careful search the guards let Hughes into a room but tell him that his guard has to wait outside. Hughes enters the top-floor office. A man is standing by the window with his back towards Hughes. He tells Hughes to sit down. Hughes turns around and sees a man named Daniel Graham. Graham gets up out of his chair and leaves the room. The man looking out the window turns around. His name is Simon Hadrian. He seems to be Australian. Hughes notices the chrome guns on his desk and the art all over the room. Hadrian walks over to Hughes and shows him a sculpture. Hadrian tells him that the statue is of a disgraced Roman soldier. The soldier is kneeling before his General begging for his life. Hadrian walks behind Hughes and stands behind him. Hughes just looks straight ahead not knowing what to expect. Simon opens a briefcase and hands Hughes a photo. The photo is of a man named Abraham Nassiri, the father of the target. Simon tells him to have his men pick up Abraham's daughter and to make sure she doesn't have a scratch on her. Once the girl is delivered Hughes will get his money. Hughes tells him that his men are already in position and are awaiting orders. Simon tells him to go ahead with the operation.

In Malibu, California a woman is in her kitchen. She is making coffee and preparing herself for a long day at the office. We see her face and it's Sarah Nassiri. Two very large men walk into the kitchen. Sarah isn't startled, the men are her bodyguards hired by her father. She offers them coffee but they decline and tell her they should leave soon. She grabs her purse and the men walk her outside. Another bodyguard is outside watching the perimeter. They get into a SUV and drive away.

Jack and Harkin land on top of an office building in Malibu. A man
named Randy Burke meets them as they get out of the helicopter. Burke tells Harkin that Jack's unit is already inside. Burke hands Jack an updated operational brief. Jack and Harkin separate and Jack goes into the operations room to debrief his men. As Jack walks into the room he sees the men messing around but as soon as they see Jack they stop and sit down. Jack's unit consists of 5 men. Frank Carter, who is Jack's second in command. The other men are Edgar Santos, Brian Simms and Nathan Willis. The fifth member of the unit is a tech named Scott Cohen. Jack tells his unit about the operation and the man believed to be behind it. The file comes up on a screen next to Jack. A photo of Sarah Nassiri and her father comes up. Jack scans through other photos and continues to brief his team.

At the compound in Big Bear, Paul Barnes is in the farmhouse. He gradually makes his way into the back and waits for everyone to leave. He grabs a crowbar and covertly tries to open a crate. He eventually pries it open and looks inside. The crate is full of automatic weapons and explosives. He takes his shoe off and takes a GPS chip out and puts it inside the clip of an M-16. Crawford, the man in charge of the compound comes out of nowhere and asks Barnes what the hell is he doing. Barnes tells him he just wanted to have first choice of the rifles. Crawford applauds his enthusiasm and tells Barnes that "the man" is coming in today. Barnes looks stunned by the news and just replies by saying "good".

On the freeway Sarah Nassiri's SUV continues to head towards her work. She is seated in the middle with a guard on each side. As they are driving they come across a construction area. A Cal-Trans worker is on top of a freeway sign. Suddenly he grabs a sniper rifle and fires down on Sarah's SUV, immediately killing the driver. Men in construction uniforms appear out of nowhere and launch tear gas into the car. Sarah screams and the guards move on top of her to protect her. The car comes to a stop. The car fills up with smoke and they are forced to get out. Sarah's guards grab a gas mask out of a secret compartment and give it to Sarah. The three remaining bodyguards get out of the car and fire at the attackers. The man on the freeway sign repels down and screams to his operatives not to shoot because they could hit the girl. Gunfire stops and the guards are in a tense stand-off with Hughes' operatives.

As Jack is briefing his unit Harkin runs into the room and tells Jack that Sarah's SUV was just hit. Jack and his men grab there gear and head for the lobby. Harkin gives Jack there exact location and Jack tells Frank Carter to take the team and drive there. Jack runs up the stairs and goes onto the roof. The pilot that just dropped him off is having a cigarette. Jack tells him to start the helicopter up. The location is just a few minutes drive away but Jack wants to have the aerial advantage. Jack rigs a harness onto himself and they take off.

Sarah is in the SUV coughing. One of Hughes operatives tells Sarah's guards to give up the girl and he promises to let the men walk away unharmed. Sarah's guards fire at Hughes operatives and try to keep them from closing in. One of the guards drags the driver's dead body out of the car. Suddenly, the men hear a helicopter. Jack is hanging off the side, he has an M-60 and he fires at Hughes men. He cuts them down with the heavy machine gun fire. Jack's team arrives and they engage in a massive firefight. More of Hughes men show up and Jack fires at the moving cars, they explode and flip over. Jack tells the pilot to land. Jack's unit is taking heavy fire, they surround Sarah's car. All of her bodyguards are dead. Jack gets out of the helicopter and tells the pilot to get ready to take off. Jack takes fire from a sniper, Carter sees the sniper on a freeway overpass and kills him. Jack opens the door to Sarah's car and sees she is unconscious from all the smoke. Jack grabs her and slings her over his shoulder. Jack tells his unit to re-treat to the helicopter. Jack runs towards the helicopter as his unit provides cover. He puts Sarah inside and grabs the M-60. The tactical unit jumps in the helicopter and it takes off and Jack shoots down at the mercenaries below and the episode ends and the clock ticks to 6:00 a.m.

Just kidding, that's just a fanfic. Here's the real deal

SEASON 4 NEWS

Elisha Cuthbert is currently in Australia and is currently accepting scripts for movies to be shot in the fall and winter. Cuthbert will likely only sign a 4-6 episode contract for Season 4.

24's" CTU will be seeing some major downsizing this fall. Sources said that the actors who play Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) colleagues at the Counter Terrorism Unit on the Fox drama have been informed that their options as series regulars will not be picked up for next season. Sources said Reiko Aylesworth and James Badge Dale, who play CTU members Michelle Dessler and Chase Edmunds, respectively, received the news just as they were to attend the Fox party after the network's upfront presentation Thursday. The two, as well as Carlos Bernard (aka CTU's Tony Almeida), could return to 20th Century Fox TV's real-time drama next season for guest appearances. Also up in the air is the "24" future of Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zachary Quinto, Daniel Dae Kim, who played CTU members on a recurring basis. Meanwhile, Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Jack's daughter and CTU analyst Kimberly Bauer, is fielding film offers and is expected to recur next season subject to her availability.

Fox had decided to share the American Idol lead in audience and "24" has been moved to Mondays at 9 p.m.

Season 4 is set to premiere on Monday, January 3rd, 2005.

Under harsh criticism by fans, FOX has taken steps to rejuvenate the show by strongly suggesting that producers hire a few new well established writers and to have the complete season mapped out before actual production starts. FOX is also adament about being genuine to the real-time format and paying more attention to the casting process for guest stars.

The writers are currently writing on there usual index cards and have begun to structure the plot.

The tentative filming schedule given to crew-members hints that filming will begin in mid-late August, which is later than the previous seasons.

The new "24" production lot is about 7 miles away from the old Woodland Hills location.

Rumors

Construction workers hired by FOX are rumored to be creating a drastically smaller version of CTU, which means that it won't be the main center for filming. It may even be reduced to an office or two.

FOX wants episode stories for the entire Season (not scripts), this will ensure the death of the annoying and meaningless sub-plots. It also allows more freedom to the casting department because they will have more time to perfectly cast a role.

Doesn't Season 4 start in January 2005? We have a long long time to wait.

They need a 24 spin-off, like 24 during WWII or something like that... it can star Jack Baeurs Grandpa.

Daniel Dae Kim finally gets a real role, the guy's going to be on Lost :)

Those "spoilers" sound good. I feel sorry for the writers who are getting the axe in favour of the "More established" ones, despite that probably leading to better quality episodes.

That Chloe lady was the worst actress ever. I'm so sick of the sucky subplots like the one for the President(it did pick up near the end of the season, but sucked for a long time). If they focused the whole hour on Jack Bauer it would be the best show on tv.

Yeah, perhaps they shouldn't hire people from Mr. Show :p

I didn't even know she acted. I thought she just did improv. No matter what her credentials, she sucked.

I remember back with Chloe was HATED. People wanted her off the air.

Now, she's probably the 2nd best characther on the show, that people will not do without (behind Jack of course).

So...what's this about???
