The anime Noir.....how is it?

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
A friend just gave this to me, which she borrowed, to try and copy, and I was wondering if it's anything worth watching. She gave me the whole series. Is it any good? Any anime it's like? I haven't really gotten into much anime....just the popular stuff like Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Eva, etc.

I haven't seen it myself, but I have yet to hear a customer complain about it. I'm sure someone here will be all high-road and go "absolute drivel" or something, but it's received a pretty positive response from my customers out here.

Pulls a trigun, of sorts. Starts out with relatively fun hit jobs then gets bogged down by conspiracies and psycho lesbians, until the last ep when nuns get shot in the face.

First few episodes were captivating... then sort of goes down hill. Still a decent watch though.

That opening scene where Kirika
knees her would be killer in the chest (while undoing his tie), back flips over him, snapping his neck over a railing(using said tie), is still one of my favourite moments.

Its decent and certainly more watchable than the other bee train animes, great music and some nice action is basically all youll get. All style and very little substance

I really liked it but I see a lot of people complaining that it's boring but I don't think it is. It's in a slow-side but not boring IMO.

I thought it was pretty dull myself. Early episodes have a lot of potential, but about halfway through the series I couldn't be bothered to watch it anymore. Mileage varies wildly, mind you.

I liked Noir, still one of my favorites, however some of the things that happen in the early episodes are so disturbing (to me) that I could never watch the show again. :P I guess i'm too easily affected by stuff.

In retrospective, the overall plot doesn't make much sense, but whatever, still an entertaining show.

Now what I can't stand are people who hate Noir because of a particular flashback that occurs quite frequently or who think Noir is exploitative "girls with guns".

Noir isn't exciting enough to be exploitative. "Mildly suspect", perhaps, but not much beyond that. Now, is you want exploitation, just go watch Gunslinger Girls. Woof.
