I've had Hypnotica ever since it came out, but I picked up Pumphonia today and it's really rocking me right now. I'm such a sucker for house music it hurts. I love Benny Benassi's signature bass and clap, especially when he does something new with it. Pumphonia is very, very diverse, unlike Hypnotica (which is still good). Any other Benassi heads here? I'm absolutely loving this right now. This is going to end up being in my car for God knows how long.

I wish there was more Benassi-esque artists out there.

Completely soulless music cashing in off the backs of true pioneers who were making this stuff decades ago. Them and that whole 'electroclash' movement... all posers.

Not all Electroclash is bad, though. It may not take much talent to make, but it's fun. You can't honestly say you don't like Peaches!

The shit moves people and it sounds damn good. If a girl gives good head, but has emotional problems beyond repair, it doesn't mean her head is bad and you shouldn't be on the receiving end. We all like good head. And we all should like Benny Benassi.

=P

Hey, Alpha, could you recommend me some ear training exercises for guitar? I can pick up pretty much any lead part or bassline, but the chords are near impossible.

For chords, start with a power chord and build on it. You'll always hear the root when you hear chords, right? So play the root, and build off of it if you know how chords are played/built. If you're talking about chords that are strummed, then that's a lot harder and something *I* haven't even done yet. I'm not the best at holding complex chords and changing chord shapes often -- I've been working on soloing primarily and rhythm leads.

The most important piece of advice I can give you is one I have heard myself, dozens, if not thousands of times: Practice, practice, practice. The guitar is a funny instrument, you just sort of fall into it and you don't notice that you're progressively getting better. You're doing things today you thought you'd NEVER be able to do.
