Can't wait!
Don't think it'll include previous DLC's in Repentance. You can purchase the entire bundle separately though.Does this mean my Afterbirth+ on Switch gets a free update or does this cost money?
It had a preorder for physical for a while, but Nicolas pulled it from all retail and is only selling physical copies thru their official site. Downer is they won't be available til later in the year last I heard, aren't ready for the console launchI swear this had a physical release, thought I saw it for sale at bestbuy but now I don't see it.
Ironically, ever since I first heard of this game, the title always conjured thoughts of constipation. And yeah, the waiting can be quite challenging, especially if my 3DS is low on charge. Can't wait!
I really don't want this to come across as trolling, but for the life of me I can't understand why people like this game. The stages look like shit, the characters look like shit, the art design is boring and it looks like a very basic shooter. What's happening that the game has been going on for what? 5 or 10 years?
The game is basically if you were to take the dungeon layouts of The Legend of Zelda, complete with bombable hidden rooms, combine it with tight twin-stick shooter action, hundreds upon hundreds of items that interact with each other in unpredictable and interesting ways, and some gnarly enemies and epic boss fights.I really don't want this to come across as trolling, but for the life of me I can't understand why people like this game. It's all about the randomness, with Repentance there will be 716 unique item pickups which changes how you play.I really don't want this to come across as trolling, but for the life of me I can't understand why people like this game. Tyrone said on stream there is no console upgrade path. I'm waiting on confirmation of separate ps4/ps5 trophy lists to decide on which one to go with, but ps5 apparently is a decent amount better then ps4 version as far as loads, frame rate, etc.I can see it on the store now but I'm not seeing a PS5 upgrade?
Just a PS4 addon and a PS5 standalone… :-/
Cool, have bought the PS5 version.Tyrone said on stream there is no console upgrade path. I'm waiting on confirmation of separate ps4/ps5 trophy lists to decide on which one to go with, but ps5 apparently is a decent amount better then ps4 version as far as loads, frame rate, etc.
I don't think I can leave my PS4 version at 73/80 trophies that's gonna bug the shit out of me. So there is two separate trophy lists for the PS4 and PS5 version, interesting. I may have to double dip on the PS5 version in the future if I feel like starting from scratch again, but I guess PS4 version it is for now.Couldn't figure out how to transfer my save and the PS5 version comes with a brand new trophy set so I'm starting over. PS5 version is fast, there are no more loading screens.
It is almost paralyzing. Learning what all the 700+ items do is getting to 'learning a language' levels of complexity. You need to have the Platinum God cheat sheet handy all the time. This game must be impossibly large at this point. I last played at Rebirth and cannot imagine the amount of content in it now.
Yep, that seems to be the case.So with the PS4 version you just buy Repentance as DLC and with the PS5 version you buy the full game?
For me personally it's the tight controls, the simplicity and last but not least, all the random combinations. Makes every run interesting since you don't know what Isaac is gonna be like. When you hit those perfect upgrades you just feel so damn superior.
I get that the design isn't to everybody's taste, but to me it doesn't matter when the gameplay mechanics are so good.
I enjoy it a lot.
It's a bit hard to tell since everything has been overhauled. But it's likely just :I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what differences the PS5 has when compared to the PS4? I've searched and can't find any info.
I'd like to buy the PS4 upgrade but if there's a huge difference I'd go with PS5.
Great game that i enjoy over and over. I can't wait to see what they've added to the previous dlc.
Thanks for the answers. It still looks terrible to me, but at least I can get an idea why people like it. Is there an ending to it? Or is the objective just to get more weapon upgrades and keep destroying enemies in new rooms?
Thank you. It's a bit hard to tell since everything has been overhauled. But it's likely just :
-load time removal
-frame rate unlocked
-new trophy set
Probably haptics as well but hard to tell if that was changed without playing the PS4 version.
Good luck, I put around 300-400 hours into it on PS4 and am now starting again on PS5.Been a fan of Edmund McMillen's stuff since Newgrounds but never got around to Isaac, guess thats about to change.
At its core it is a basic shooter but quickly gets bat shit insane. All I can say is watch a god run.I really don't want this to come across as trolling, but for the life of me I can't understand why people like this game. I've just beat the Solar System challenge today, was lucky enough to find the potato peeler in a shop, so carved myself up a super meat boy.Gave a few tries at Solar System Challenge last night, good lord I don't recall this being hard at all pre-Repentance. Some of these new enemies are way too tanky or aggro for these crappy flies. Gonna try to knock that and and "It's in the Cards" done today to get Pethro and SMB unlocked then I can get back to runs for checkmarks and stay away from challenges since I'll have all the semi-quality unlocks without so many of the really bad ones I can unlock later on.
Saw it on Xbox for £49.99, instantly thought 'what the fuck'I just saw this on PSN. Is this seriously $60?
