Paying for Hulu means we don't ever get a better deal. It's all network tv, which by and large (of course there are exceptions) is free if you just tune in, or can record it. Outside of the US, it makes sense I guess. Work those trials, and save them shits for when the show you want to watch finishes the season and then go in!

I only have dedicated time to certain shows. Ain't got dvr anymore after the price kept jumping up. Only thing I watch on the locals is SHIELD..everything else is on my free HBO which comes with the net. I'll catch it later, I suppose..

No lies detected. I need to cut back on something honestly. I just got rid of gamefly and my netflix account, because there was no point in a couple each having their own.
Thinking of dropping Hulu next if none of these shows pans out.
Currently added Black sails, The handmaid's tale and Timeless.
I'll report back soon enough

I find that if you hang with folks actually gaming, which many of us do together weekly, you'd hear more conversations about gaming. Shit..back when the last Zelda dropped recently, most were playing in between rounds of SFV and discussing thier adventures. Others spoke on Horizon and other games, like Neir or Let it Die, which plenty of us were invested in.
I'm guessing you just miss when the convos are going on, but they happen plenty around here. It is a gaming forum, after all..

Netflix is shit in the UK, apart from the Marvel stuff. Netflix can't compete with Sky and Amazon here.

Not clear on the differences. I pay for Netflix for their original stuff..Amazon for the two day delivery, but their original shit on Prime has been more solid than not, so I can't say I'm complaining. Also have an Echo, so the music bits work for my wife/daughter.
That's basically how I roll. If there's a benefit for more than one of us, I'm down to pay the extra scratch. Otherwise, nah..

On the subject of gaming discussions, like G said, they happen where the games happen.
If you aren't playing anything, or go where the people that are playing them then you miss them.
I've personally been cutting through a lot of titles recently. I also know that there are minefields around criticizing those same titles before and after the fact of my completing them. There are no conversations worth having when you know where the defense forces are waiting. It's a waste of time, and never elevating the level of discourse, and always dismissive of your experience.

Felt this way a couple of times especially this season, still watched it all in a weekend though. Shit's too realistic (that's a compliment).
Netflix has more than I'll ever watch and probably the best value out of any service I've used. Don't need cable when I can watch most stuff on Global or City or something. Netflix, Twitch and NBA League Pass are all I need

We don't get the Disney stuff as Sky has that, we also don't get many of the shows you get on Netflix as Sky has that as well. Amazon is trying to compete with Sky so buys up a lot of the other American shows ( American Gods etc). But really nothing can compete with Sky it has the monopoly here. Sky even gets shows that are meant to be exclusive to Netflix.
I call it Notflix. Because of the shitness.

You're right, but it isn't a good thing. Sky then rent their channels to other providers (Virgin, BT etc) but keep the exclusives. So Sky has the monopoly so can charge what they want.
