I love all Tex Avery cartoons and my favorite series Tom and Jerry. I find it sad that kids are missing out of these classics.

yeah they definitely wouldn't be able to get away with some of the jokes there today; the garage accommodating the woman's driving :lol

I love these. I wish they made more. though they would have to take out the women jokes or else Dragona willl ban them from life. women's turn signals still crack me up :lol

Shame there are so few of these. Did Disney ever do anything similar? I know they've got a few serious futurists animations, but I can't remember if they've ever done anything this tongue-in-cheek with it.

Growing up Tex Avery cartoons were the ones I looked forward to the most. He (& Spielberg) was probably was the one that got me looking at who was making something rather than just watching it.

I thought you were talking about Flash animated cartoons.

But this is much better.

Says the guy with the South Park avatar. I think these cartoons could fly on the right channel.

Tom and Jerry still comes on CN just about every morning at least.

For some reason, Cartoon Network just keeps on showing the same episodes of Tom and Jerry. They repeat them waaay too often and it's bugging me. They need to put Looney Tunes back on. What happened to that? They started showing it in the beginning of the year (after their New Year's marathon).

You know these classic cartoons by Tex Avery, they used to be shown with the Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network back when I used to go to elementary. Loved them then, and they still hold up greatly today!

Are these on any of the DVD sets? I loved watching these as a kid. Brought back a crazy amount of memories. :D

A years ago (most likely 2 decades) all of his MGM shorts they were released on LaserDisc http://atlas.kennesaw.edu/~dhirschl/texavery/ completely uncensored and including his most "controversial" material like Uncle Tom's Cabana and Half-Pint Pygmy, theres a most recent DVD boxset released only in R2 that lacks this 2 shorts.

Wow I actually remember these. Man I just love everything about old cartoons. The animation, the voices, the ideas.

Sure the social views are outdated as fuck, but other than the outright offensive ones they just give you a "oh you guys" reaction.

I love the past's vision of the future. Though these weren't so much that as they were really fun cartoons. Old cartoons are great, it's a shame kids don't get exposed to them as much anymore.

does anyone remember the name of a looney tunes cartoon that featured sports/olympic games and instead of humans it was dogs (like goofy), and in the stands there was a guy who kept stealing from a lil girl's ice cream and she ends up shooting him :P

actually now that I think of it it could have been a disney cartoon..

Amazing cartoons, probably my all time favorites... Tex Avery was a genius!

Bookmarked for future reference! :lol
