I just watched a video of The Cure performing at Live 8! Have any of you seen this???

*Live 8 video*

They performed Open, 100 years and End.

What do you guys think of this video? Bob looks fat as hell! :lol But maybe it's just my widescreen laptop

The video also wastes like 20 minutes at the beggining showing the stage from waaaay far back while there's no music only sound checks and shit.

Is this the only session the boys have done at Live 8? In other words, did they play on another night that isn't this video or this video their only performance?

Who's the new guitarist dude? Looks kinda familiar.

They shoulda turned Bob's mic up on Open.

Since Robert started getting off the harder drugs he did pudge up, but he doesn't need to look all smooth to still be the best singer/songwriter/asshole on the planet right now. My wife really did not like the more rocking sound that they have now, but I thought it was excellent! They also played two other songs after that video stops, Just Like Heaven and Boys Don't Cry.

Not sure if you are being serious about Porl being a new guitarist for the band? He was with them from Head on the Door thru Wish.

It's quite obvious that AznDrag0n is trolling. First of all The Cure is not, and was never a fucking "synth" band. That label belongs to Depeche Mode. The Cure is a goth/rock band at heart and occasionally dabbles in other genres like jazz and new wave. AznDrag0n I suggest you pick up an album of theirs called Pornography. It's better than anything The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, New Order or Radio Head has ever done.
