GNC Ultra Mega Gold
Dietary Supplement

170811.jpg

The ultimate multiple in nutritional coverage.

An antioxidant rich formula that provides 41 nutritional ingredients including vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotene.

Ultra Mega® Gold nutritional benefits include:
Vitamin A which is essential for eye health and normal vision.*

B-vitamins including folic acid that can help reduce a woman's risk of having a child with a brain or spinal cord defect. When combined with vitamins B6 and B12, folic acid may play a role in the maintenance of normal homocysteine levels important for cardiovascular health.*

Vitamin C helps to protect the body against free radical damage, is essential for healthy bones, teeth and blood vessels and is essential in iron absorption.*

Natural Vitamin E the body’s preferred form, provides antioxidant support.*

Bone-strengthening nutrients including calcium, magnesium and Vitamin D that are essential in the development of healthy bones and teeth.*

Selenium may reduce the risk of certain cancers. Some scientific evidence suggest that the consumption of selenium may reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer. However, the FDA has determined that this evidence is limited and not conclusive.

Based on leading-edge science, this superior multiple also contains breakthrough antioxidants like alpha-lipoic acid, N-Acetyl-Cysteine and TMG that offer protection from harmful free radicals that can destroy healthy cells and promote the cell aging process.*

Fortified with digestive enzymes and whole food concentrates that complement the benefits of other nutrients.

Available with or without iron.

Timed-release tablets provide a slow gradual release of vital nutrients.

I used to have pretty bad acne throughout middle-high school, but then it calmed down and I've been using Reversion facial wash (as opposed to the Proactiv system) and things have improved greatly..some occasional small whiteheads and some tiny scars. Last few days, I've been taking these vitamins and my skin seems to glow..haven't had any breakouts (due to my mix of oily/dry skin) which usually should have happened by now. Anyway, check it out. Here's a recent pic of me, just to prove it :p

WASH YER FUCKING FACE! THATS THE CURE!

actually I sympathize. I had horrible unfixable acne in high school, wasnt ever crater face, but nothing would make it go away. nothing but age that is. Now im going blind so I guess its a trade off.

I believe this news.

I've been taking a Vitamin B+C supplement (the type with LOTS of both in it), for about a year now, and I hardly ever get spots anymore. I used to get a few every other day. I had read before that high doses of Vitamin B did wonders for clearing up acne, so I guess it is at least partially true.

I've had...and still do to a degree Acne.

The pain of girls walking pass and wispering 'euuww...did you see his face' at school still haunts me. Big giant cysts...walking around school with huge coat with giant collars to obscure my face during the summers, it's fucking tough thing to have happen to that age.

The great horrible irony is, your hormonal glands are on Red Alert meaning your a horny fuck machine, only your acne prevents the fucks. :(

Hope your luck holds.

It's fairly Ok now, but the emotional scars are still there I think. I actually quit a job once because of it, had a couple of months of bad flare ups because I felt ashamed and self concious. :( Doctors need to start taking it more seriously IMHO, not just palm people off with endless creams and shit.

why are guys such wienies about using makeup? just slap some concealer on that zit like I do (of course, I don't really have them anymore though :D )

make sure you remove it at night though, or it could make the acne worse (be sure to use an oil-free concealer too)

I might have to try that.

I do know that natural supplements are better in that they are longer-lasting than synthetic. However, if you take enough synthetic suppliments often enough then it's just the same.

I like this time-release idea.

Hmm, maybe I should have tried it when my doctor offered it to me then. Was kind of wary to start taking it because of what I heard.

I feel for you man. I have had pretty bad acne, and right now i'm trying to clear it up for good. Dermatologists just try to push accutane on you and don't give a shit if you don't want to take it. I asked if there were any alternative treatments and was basically shrugged off. This seems like such a simple thing that has been around for a long time, but we still can't cure it without poisoning ourselves.

Off topic but I really don't like HIM. Though, his cover of "Wicked Game" is extrememly excellent, so I can't write him off as a truly bad artist.

you gotta let HIM grow on you. Listen to Heartache every moment over and over again for awhile or beautiful or everyone one of their fucking songs. I swear they have not a single song that doesn't rock my cock socks! BIOTCH

Problem with Accutane is it's designed to stave off the problem until the body 'resets' itself and things naturally return to normal. Problem with me is my body STILL hasn't reset and I'm 33. Only reason my skin is OK at the moment is because I got some acctuane on the black market - cost a fucking fortune because my shitty dermo wouldn't perscribe it because I've had two doses on the NHS (social healthcare) in the 90's previously. If your skin is still rampant with overactive hormones when the Accutane wears off...then back your spots come.

GNC Guy: One Bottle will not clear your skin.

LOL.

I don't think he meant it that way, it takes time for those stuff to works, so it's very likely you will run out of it before it really takes affect.

I had really bad acne when I was in high school, but it cleared up around the time of my senior year.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I'm gonna give this an ol' bump. My back acne has been acting up a bit the past week....recently it's ranged from nearly almost nonexistant to between mild and moderate, but either way, bacne is bacne and it SUCKS a FUCK.

Anyway, I remembered this thread and thought I should try a multivitamin, but not quite sure what to get. For one thing, I've heard that Zinc tablets can really help acne, and I just started that and I think it may be helping, but I'm not sure. Do these multivitamins have Zinc in them, and if so how much? Usually multivitamins have like 10-20mg of something like Zinc, and I'm taking 50-100mg a day, so I don't know if this would be sufficient for my Zincy needs. And as I am reminded every time I see one of Adelgary's posts, vitamin B and C can supposedly help acne. Do multivamins like these have enough vitamin B and C, or would it just be better to take these supplemants seperately and in higher dosages?

My penis is still intact.
I could do with getting rid of back acne myself. Do the products recommended in this thread work all round, or are they specific face ones?

I don't have it that bad, and I'm lucky to have never had it to any serious degree on my face, but it's hardly attractive.

Accutane can kill you, acne can't.

Here's my cure: stop eating junk food. After years of using shitty products that did nothing I just said "fuck it" and stopped using them all, my skin cleared up a bit after I stopped using them, and now it's finally clearing up because i've changed my diet. I didn't change my diet because I thought it would clear my acne, I did it for health reasons, and because eating healthy just makes me feel better, but I noticed a massive improvement in my skin. Try it.

I'm vegetarian and have been all my life, I think I've only ever been to a McDonalds (or the equivalent) like...20 times maximum, I drink soda...I mean pop...no soda...about once a month on average I'd say and I eat pretty healthily at home. Overall, I pretty much have an anti-acne diet.

I still get spots though. I'm sure my diet helped prevent a lot of it, but it's not the be all and end all.

Fair enough, with acne i've found that everyone has different theories and different things have different effects on different people, i'm just saying that eating healthy is what did it for me. What worked for me might not work on others, but I would definately suggest giving it a try if you don't already have a healthy diet, it can't hurt.

Well I've got a raging case of dickne, and thanks to the anonymity of the internet, I can discuss it freely on message boards! Thanks Al Gore!!

Mate, that's really sad! :(
Medicare firms are taking it seriously though. Remember, if they can release a pill that most teenagers take once a day, they're in the money...

Reminds me of a story. I was at a friend's house and his mom makes a comment about how much acne he has. Then she says, "You should masturbate more. Look at your brother, he has such clean skin" The mortified look on both their faces was priceless. :lol
