The dangers of testing: VMC makes life hell.

I'd say a good 90% of that is true. There are some 'facts' that are exagerated, like the bill rates. But majority of it is true.

Here is the shocking thing. Nintendo of America is worse.

Sounds like "toiling like galley slaves" would be a step up.
Does EVERY job in this industry require a guarantee of poor working conditions? Yikes.

Considering a large majority of the 2005 GDC was geared to QUALITY OF LIFE should give you an idea.

In college I loaded UPS trucks for 8.50 an hour. This sounds like a dream job in comparison. (Especially the ones making 14 bucks an hour).

As someone else said, those bill rates are a lie. They probably only get 17-20 bucks per hour. (Making 6 to 10 dollars per hour for the company). That is kind of a standard among temp agencies.

Feh. For anyone who's tested video games at Acclaim, those are like bedtime stories you'd tell children.

Do tell... a lot of people I knew growing up dreamed of testing games at Acclaim, some even applying (I knew one guy in college who spent his summers working as a tester for them) as they were the only big name game company around.

Don't you DARE bring up unions, or you will be endlessly pelted by a run of obnoxious Internet Capitalists.

I believe those stories. And please, anybody whoring his job (whatever job it is) -> Stop it now. This is the cause of at least 50% of all existing employee abusing.
