I find it curiously cool that Nolan just lets the film starts and does titling at the end instead.

I liked it in Avatar and I like it here too. You can always feel that the audience is at least somewhat taken by surprise when a film starts instantly. The titles also make much more sense at the end in the Nolan movies, as if they were the final sentence in a book.
