I love how the thread title is still "No Riddler". The OT title has to be Batman 3: No Riddler.
The Dark Knight Rises |OT| Still No Riddler

This thread is three days away from its one-year anniversary.

|OT| Batman 3: Maybe the Next One Will Have Riddler (Maybe He's After the Credits?)

Looking back at the TDK prologue updates, it was rumored around the same time as now, and then Nolan confirmed it in November. We didn't get a description of it until Nolan showed it to the press in December, 2 weeks before I Am Legend came out.

Don't except any real descriptions until early December.

If it is like the Dark Knight scene from I Am Legend, it will be on YouTube and you will have a very tiny window to see it before it is yanked.

Why would I subject myself to shitty cam footage on youtube?

Rumors hit the web a few days ago that a six minute prologue from “The Dark Knight Rises” would be shown in front of IMAX screenings for “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.”

AMC Theatres can confirm that this footage will be shown in front of Ghost Protocol on December 16th. (Ghost Protocol will release in IMAX five days before its general release on the 21st of December.)

However...

The six minute Dark Knight Rises prologue footage will only be shown on the higher resolution 70mm IMAX screens. Not the digital IMAX screens.

Locations haven't been confirmed yet, so stay tuned for an update on AMC Theatre locations that will be showing the prologue Dark Knight Rises footage at a 70mm IMAX screen nearest you.

68th & Broadway here I come; I saw Inception there in IMAX. Can't wait.

Beat theater in town.

I have watched Batman Begins, 300, I Am Legend, The Dark Knight, Avatar, and Inception. I should go more often but only end up going for a select few.

MI4 and TDKR will be the next two.

Because when it leaks the thread will be moving a mile a minute with everyone jizzing over what they think they saw.

You want to miss out on that speculation/conversation?

You will have to keep us updated when they shoot in NYC. I intend to show up on set wherever they are in the city, especially when they shoot on the Queens-borough Bridge.

The rumor is that they're shooting
a large scale fight sequence on the bridge that has over 1000 extras, that also involves the Batwing. Supposedly it's the biggest scene ever shot in NYC.

Yeah, more info on NYC shoot:

One of our readers, RL, spotted No Parking signs for "MAGNUS REX" (TDKR's working title) filming on West 58th Street between 7th and 5th Ave in NYC on Friday, 10/28 for 6 AM to Midnight.

In addition to this new location info, we also heard a few rumors about the big scene they'll be filming on Wall Street.
There are expected to be more than 1000 extras used in the scene which will be set in a Gotham that has been taken over by Bane. After months of chaos the cops return and the "good guys" battle it out with the "bad guys" for the streets of Gotham. Tom Hardy and Christian Bale are both expected to be there in full costumes as Bane and Batman. Its also rumored that they will begin rehearsing for the shoot in a couple day at Riis Park.

Ugh. That gives me a very big
city of New York vs. Green Goblin
vibe. First information about the film that has given me pause.

I guess it fits with
Bruce's desire to no longer be needed if the cops and citizens are finally willing to fight back
, but...

Thousands of citizens fighting = one Batman. Not what he had in mind.

There's a difference between having people throw fruit at Green Goblin, and having a mini-war in a city

They are shooting in downtown Newark Nov 3rd, 4th. I work in Newark, going to head down to the set and see if I can get some pics. Will post on GAF if I do. I'm excited!!!

They are shooting tomorrow right by where my wife works in midtown Manhattan. I am going to stop by and see if I can spot anything.

And I think Chicago was left out cause of money issues? Something about Chicago raising taxes but then it doesn't explain Superman filming there.
