Why would he get a new suit now? This isn't Schumacher where he needs a new suit for no reason at all other than to match the villain's lair.

I'm not just asking for a new suit just because of live-action superhero tradition (actually, yeah I kind of am), but it goes to reason that Batman might want a new suit if/after he gets his ass kicked by Bane.

Also, I hate the TDK suit design. It's too fractured and busy and makes Batman look like a cyber-ninja or something. I understand that the TDK suit fulfills Wayne's desire for a suit that is very flexible, but I still think it's ugly.

I wish they hadn't changed the costume for TDK. The one in Begins was so much sexier.

Yeah that needed fixing. But they could have changed that without making Batman look like a bobble head toy.

This costume screams change for changes' sake.

What I really loved about the BB suit was the thick, panther-like neck it gave to Batman. Sure, he could barely turn it, but it made him look intimidating and dangerous.

I agree with you, the TDK suit made Bale look scrawny, especially in the neck area.

Since the cover last time was Joker and the Prologue was Joker, I wonder if the Prologue really will be Batman vs Bane.

Although I hope to god they don't do the "AND THEN HE BREAKS HIS BACK!!1111111" that so many fanfics keep doing. We get it already, Bane broke his back 20 years ago!

*someone quotes me in 2 weeks after it's revealed that he breaks his back*

Both covers are underwhelming because a. Batman has no new suit (not that its a bad thing, its actually a good thing, but for a cover its not sensational) and b. Bane has been seen so much on set, promo pics, and his mask/look is so minimal that it doesn't have the same effect as seeing the Joker.

That said what are the changes the issue offers anything cool or new? Or will it be mostly regurgitated tidbits we have known about for months?

Except for the numerous changes for practicality and utility that they very clearly explained in the movie, right?

When he shoots women with it their clothes disappear.

But does it really matter when he's already seen everything?

Bane's costume/mask looks so horrible, jesus...

It's supposed to look intimidating. You might say it looks horrible but if you saw a hulking man wearing body armor and that coming at you don't tell me you wouldn't be scared out of your mind!

it's a gun that impregnates his enemies. the only way to defeat Bane is to impregnate him.

The same cover that had replies like "Why isn't he smiling? I'm starting to get worried that Nolan's Joker will be too serious."

Well, drawing anecdotal quotes from a group unspecified as a majority or minority is kinda irrelevant here. I'm just talking about the impact of the cover and the composition. They couldn't have gotten better promo material for the Bane cover? That Joker image works well for a cover image. Bane's is a close-up against a generic white background? Boring.

So what? The majority of the time, Empire usually has boring ass covers. Just look at last month

What does this tell you about M:I 4? Absolutely nothing. (Other than Tom Cruise loves hoodies now)

Oh man, I watched 'Forever' yesterday for the first time in years...I knew it was cheesetacular but I certainly thought it was better than...that. Kilmer was fine but I guess I'd completely blocked all the shitty aspects of the movie from memory, which is to say, pretty much all of it.

I will admit that I still kind of dig the batmobile's design though, except for the bat symbols on the wheels. I also wish they would have kept the ridiculous turbine from Burton's version, but oh well.
