Bane does sound really fucking weird. His vocal inflection is...odd.

Also, this confirms that the voice we heard in the leaked audio is, in fact Bane's.

Bet TDKR is a movie version of
No Man's Land. Graffiti to mark turf. Strange Bat Symbol versus Mask Teeth thingy.

That strategy being to annoy people?

I don't get why they are so hard on people bootlegging the prologue. Those that want to participate in the ARG (or whatever) obviously get the advantage of seeing in the correct setting. But I don't see how releasing it on youtube or itunes trailers, would hurt the marketing effort in any way. IMO it would only increase buzz and goodwill.

The way it is now, people will still bootleg. Only in shitty fashion, which will result in shitty copies floating around and people getting pissed.

But I'm probably missing some nuances (or a lot) of their strategy. :/

Strategy is pure and simple. Release the prologue and or trailer only with prominent holiday releases to help both those movies (Sherlock Holmes is a WB movie) and to promote their own movie. It works because some people are actually willing to pay for the prologue while not caring about MI4 and then those people who aren't even aware of a new Batman movie will be pleasantly surprised when they go to see MI4. Same with Sherlock Holmes.

Prologue is the actual movie so they aren't really hold anything back from the internet viewers, just holding off on the actual trailer until they give SH2 a full weekend with the trailer.

Eventually, hopefully by Monday, the HD trailer will be available on their site. The prologue is just a special treat for IMAX moviegoers to show off how amazing the movie looks in IMAX.

Anyone remember if the TDK prologue also started with the WB and then DC Comics logo?

For some reason I just remember it starting with the camera pan over Gotham/Chicago up to the building where the Jokers were.

I honestly don't get the criticism for Hardy's Bane voice. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems quite clearly to me to be an old English/aristocratic accent. And if they don't delve into that too much, it could make this character very very interesting. It also reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis' Plainview accent in There Will be Blood.

Also, am I allowed to link it here?
