So after seeing the bane stuff i still cant help but think riddler would of been the better choice for the last nolan batman, seems an ideal villain to me, im not dark knights biggest fan but joker was reimagined well enough that riddler could of be done just the same.
Bane on the other had i feel lacks draw for the general public. Iv already had people asking me who bane is ect. I like bane alot but as far as movie batman goes id be much happy with a well portrayed riddler.

The video in the 1080p is better but the audio in the previous best release is vastly better
only Bane could physically destroy Batman to the point of no return, Riddler would have just been another villain who annoys everyone including Batman. Bane is the only that Batman needs to KILL for Gotham to survive

after Joker a Riddler would have come across as too much of the same. And I can't see Riddler presenting the same sort of threat that we see with Bane, something which was necessary after all the shit Joker stirred. You can't dial it back down after TDK. The only thing Riddler has over Bane is familiarity.

Nah, I saw the prologue in IMAX on Tuesday. Nobody, including myself, could understand a goddamn word Bane said. There were even lines that I had read about before the showing

I'm so happy Nolan got his eyes checked and casted TWO hot chicks. Maggie brought down TDK so much, I'm sorry but she had bags under her eyes the whole time and just was not pretty in the slightest....

I really don't think this movie is going to have a problem drawing people in to the theatre. As for whether Bane will be interesting enough, that remains to be seen. He's looking good so far.

And as for the point about Riddler, I am glad they did not go with him. They needed a more physical threat for Batman this time after the psychological threat that Joker presented.

The fans made the leap to Riddler making sense for the next villian.
I agree, his Batman has always been about escalation.
Having a movie about solving riddles would be so counter to the momentum of the previous two films.
We will never know how the Riddler would have been done but Nolan did bring up that he wanted a physical villain. He felt that both with BB and TDK they had villains that were more psychological in threat but none that posed a true physical challenge to Batman. He wanted Bane because that is what he is. The Riddler would be another non physical mind games psychological enemy.
Personally I think its awesome that Bane is lesser known. People will watch the movie no matter what. Its Batman. But a lesser known/established character allows Nolan to mold him somewhat without any strong objections. And its not like its all unknown characters. You still have Catwoman.

I'd take Batman vs Bane in the snow in the middle of city hall during a civil war over Batman solving puzzles for the final chapter of a trilogy.

I dont think she will be the catwoman you think the way it was done before
its more that she scraps off the living of rich people and in this story it will be Bruce, Bruce will feed her, make her happy and give her clothes because she is poor but like a cat she wants to survive and has her own agenda
I am waiting for the trailer in the theater and have mentioned as much myself.
Solo trolls sometimes and its usually obvious (like when he says Speed Racer was better TDK for example) but I don't get why him saying he will finally see it with SH2 this weekend makes you think he is being high and mighty. I am with him in that I will wait simply because I can't stand the shitty cam rips. And because I know I will see SH2 Sunday night.

And while they are filming the movie are they also editing at the same time? Some of the footage shown was from late in the shoot and its already part of the trailer. Just curious on how that process works.

I do troll sometimes, and its usually very obvious, agreed. But Im being honest in saying I like SR more.
And ADR is additional dialogue recording. ie. actors redo their lines in a soundstage during post because the actual sound picked up during the shoot is muffled or unclear. Also called "looping".

Yeah its very little to go on but the prologue was awesome enough in introducing him. Bane really seems terrifying.
Even still she is a known enough character. I was talking to some of my classmates and some of the girls were like OMG THAT IS WITH CATWOMAN right? Besides its Batman that alone brings people to the seats.

I can sorta see what he's getting at, being pissed off with Solo. The guy has gone to lengths to create a new spoiler-free thread for the movie but still feels it is necessary to come into this thread (which he presumably created a new thread to avoid) and inform us all of his trailer viewing plans. The fact that his plans to watch it on the big screen differ from pretty much everyone else in this thread and the fact that he feel the needs to point it out to us despite their being a far more appropriate place (that he created) to do so does come across as a bit pretentious/obnoxious/high n mighty/attention-whorey/whatever.
Regarding the trailer itself, it does look fantastic. The prologue was really great too. I'm really liking Bane's voice.

Nolan is a big fan of using on set dialogue, and one of the things he doesn't like about the IMAX cameras is that they are loud and affect the on set noise.

While that would be awesome to watch, I think it would detract from what Nolan is trying to accomplish in terms of Bruce being completely consumed by Batman. Even if they connected the business rival to Batman's problems, it would still have to show Bruce dealing with certain problems and Batman dealing with others. It would seem antithetical to the theme of these movies.

I just want to say I am so glad they did not go with Hush as the villain like many wanted. Lame villain, would have been lamer in a film.

For the currently used ones, yes. I believe Nolan has been working with IMAX to develop smaller, quiter ones though.

I still have not seen Speed Racer. Every time I see the blu for dirt cheap I almost buy it blindly, but still havent.
But Batman Begins is better than Dark Knight.
