huh, they are really promoting this, kind odd isn't it?

The advance tickets are for all general showings opening weekend? Or just the marathons? Or for however long the movie is in theaters?

Noon Saturday for me, my Friday evening is going to be me NOT USING GAF.

I'd love to go Thurs midnight (but those sold out 6 months ago here in NYC) or Friday night but I work 12 hour shifts and get out at 9pm. That would mean most likely the midnight show. Don't know how many people I am planning on going with would be up for that on a Fri night.

Sat works best.

Generally do ticket preorders start at midnight?

I would assume yes. I just checked the fandango site and didn't notice anything about it.

191 without 3D tax? Is that technically possible? TDK had IMAX sold out for 2 weeks in NYC and that only made 158 or something. I bet WB is pissed they couldn't stamp 3D on it.

TDK was in 9200 screens
DH2 was in 11300 screens
Hunger Games was in 11000 screens
Avengers was in 11700 screens

Take into account inflation and a minimum of 2000 additional screens.

158 is the floor.

if the same percentage of tickets are sold for TDKR as TDK on OW, it makes 205 million on inflation and additional screens

.....but put it in the writer of the Blade movies?!

Also, I will have a good 500 vitriol-laced posts in the Prometheus spoiler thread by the time you see it :lol

Okay, so most of us know which legit IMAX's are near us for DKR, but in case you didn't know:

http://lfexaminer.com/theaUSA.htm

Here's a list of all theaters in the world. The Real IMAX's not LIEMAX's are labeled in the format 1570. The ones that are labeled "D" under format are Digital(LIEMAX's) If you can, try to make a trip to one of the 1570 theaters since the DKR has 1 hour+ of IMAX footage and was made to be viewed that way. International theaters you can just click the tabs on the left.

Yes. Made by a Hollywood studio? Its Hollywood. The word you are looking for is "campy", not Hollywood.

no i'm talking about casting big hollywood stars in big roles because they are popular and the flavor-of-the-month in hollywood at the time. i know that Warner Bros studios is in Hollywood. I know where the money comes from and camp is distinctly different from something being hollywoodized.
