Absolutely guarantee you at least one person here does midnight opening, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night.

BatGAF is cray

My plan is to see it opening day, then once more theatrically a few weeks later, then wait for home video.

Hell, I only watched TDK once in IMAX and then subsequently only on blu ray.

The only movie I watched twice in theatres was Avatar, and that only because of dat 3D

I've only seen Avatar and TDK twice in cinemas, that's because I watched them in regular first then IMAX second time round. I'm doing the same for TDKR, just so happens that a few friends are seeing it at different times so I'll be going to see it an extra time than I usually will.

Pffft fuck the crowds, I'm going on a random weekday. Maybe Tuesday, at like 6pm.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6pm showings are easily the best time to go to the movies around here. Crowds are minimal. Matinees are good too if you can duck out of work early.

Nobody on Batgaf.
Highly doubt this unless someone works at a theatre or lives next to one.
That 12 hrs in 3 days.

Yup yup. I do like seeing it with a bunch of people on opening night, but I'll be going to IMAX and dont want to wait in line for like 2 hours for a good seat.

I'm going at almost 4pm the day it comes out. LOL. Easily reserved amazing seats. Don't even care that it's early. I could have got seats later that night but they wouldn't have been good. All midnight good seats were taken. I'm never one to sacrifice a good seat for an early viewing.

There won't be a fair, reasonable placement of this film until a year from now. The internet always goes balls deep into "best/worst ____ evar!" territory in the immediate aftermath of a huge movie like this. Hyperbole will be slung both ways. Which is to say that I'll put a lot more stock into July 2013 opinions than I will into July 2012 opinions. Especially for a Nolan film, as I've never seen a director whose films get either dramatically better or worse with latter day rewatches as his do.

well based on this even if you love it you will hate a year from now.... I usually like something always...

Opinions evolve and change, just as we as people do. Are you seriously telling me your favorite movie from when you were 10 years old is still your favorite movie? Or even something you'd call good?

no I'm saying if I like something even if my option changes a little bit about it I still like it. Your point can be put on anything. The first time someone sees something they're excited about there is a good chance they will most definitely like/love it more than later. Also yes Jurassic park is still one of my favorite movie ever.... seen it at 9.

How spoilery is this shit?
basically if you've seen the official trailers and have seen a bunch of the set photos, it's not spoiler-ish at all. Just the actors and producers/designers talking about what they were aiming for while showing all the set shooting and trailer footage in the background.

There isn't anything new in it. But if you've been avoiding all information, then obv don't watch.

There's a lot of set pictures/footage that I've never seen before. Not any big spoilers so far but I'd say just wait, I'm 6 minutes in btw.

It gets spoilery towards the end, by that I mean there's some new footage we haven't seen before.

The first half is mostly from trailer footage/tv spots and set photos that you may or may not have seen.

Yeah!

The scene with
Gordon and Blake in the car
is new too, right?

Solo, I wouldn't watch it if I were you.

Yes.

If you don't mind watching the equivalent of a whole new trailer with new stunts, lines and scenes, you'll probably be OK, but if you're of a more nervous disposition you shouldn't go near it.

The production video of the prologue sequence is from 8:20 to 9:00, if you just want to see that.

Are you guys sure what you're tagging is new, I swear it was in a tv spot or 2. Either way, we're really exaggerating spoilers here lol. I guess some people want to go in completely clean, in which case you might as well just ditch this thread or any batman related thread.

Id say this is way more spoilery than the trailers, not movie ruining by any means but it does have alot of stuff the trailers hasnt showed

There's a shot of him
without the cowl on
. Looks kinda cool like that
