So then Anne Hathaway is prrrfect?

At least spell it right.

I kind of see what you're trying to say... but you aren't saying it.

The "realistic" Batman thing is awful. The movies aren't, but the concept is and it is incredibly limited in what it can do. These are crime films with Batman as the lead. TDKR might be a good film, but it won't be a good Batman film.

Also I don't give a shit about spoiler for this film. I simply warn others to watch out, as they've been anticipating this for years.

It's limited, agreed, which is why 3 movies is probably as much as we can get out of the concept.

I don't think this is going to be as much of a crime film as TDK though. They're going for something else with this one.

"focused" microwaves is the science mumbo jumbo they used that is glossed over by most people as if it really matters,

It also matters that people are actually trying to make a weapon that is pretty similar to it. It's not like they pulled it out of their ass. It's still fantastical in it's use in the movie, but it's not completely BS.

Nor are aircraft the only vehicles from which destructive electromagnetic pulses can be launched. BAE Systems, a British defence firm, is building a ship-mounted electromagnetic gun. The High-Powered Microwave, as it is called, is reported by Aviation Week to be powerful enough to disable all of the motors in a swarm of up to 30 speedboats. Ships fitted with such devices would never be subject to the sort of attack that damaged USS Cole in 2000, when an al-Qaeda boat loaded with explosives rammed it. A gun like this would also be useful for stopping pirate attacks against commercial shipping.

Land vehicles, too, will soon be fitted with electromagnetic cannon. In 2013 America hopes to deploy the Radio-Frequency Vehicle Stopper. This device, developed at the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate in Quantico, Virginia, is a microwave transmitter the size and shape of a small satellite dish that pivots on top of an armoured car. When aimed at another vehicle, it causes that vehicle’s engine to stall.

If Batman's new toy is an EMP gun, that's the same thing at a different frequency.

I can't remember what happened to the toxin, does it still drive people crazy if they boil a pan of water at home?

The focused microwave business is the only reason BB dips in quality for me, in comparison to TDK.

TDK was more straightforward in its villain's plans - just Joker setting up elaborate schemes against Batman.

Hey thanks for the spoiler warning, buddy. I was banking on them reprising the black with silver trim suit from Batman & Robin, but I guess I won't get to enjoy the reveal of that bit of mystery in the theater now because you're too concerned with being the alpha dog of this thread.

Let me ask you something, who made you the authority on what bit of TDKR info gets posted? What gives you the right? What's the difference between you and me?

Get out the thread lest you break into tears.

But can Hans Zimmer top the score?

A lot of audio guys I have talked to in films, hate Hans Zimmers guts.I've heard several people claiming that he has a gazillion composers working underneath him.

I don't know if thats true, but I love the scores that he has been a part off. From Gladiator to Black Hawk Down! TDK had a really good score. The theme with the violins... audiovisual expression of the jokers madness. it was not music. it was just static, but it worked so well.

Well, apparently the ending is out but not being posted here. So on one extreme, you have the people that avoid this thread because they don't want to get spoiled. On the other end, you have people who have basically assembled the movie from found objects but are courteous enough to not post it here, for the people who don't want to get spoiled, who avoid this thread. And then you have the Goldilocks-middle ground that, I assume, makes up the bulk of the thread. You know, the people that don't want to be spoiled but want to see pics, but not too much, but still need to see something, BUT NOT THAT SOMETHING, JERK!

So really, I have nothing to worry about. I am being exposed to the amount of TDKR material deemed, "just right", by DMczaf who has seen the movie and controls this thread.

I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or not.

That's because DMc is Christopher Nolan. All of this... it's all part of the plan.

"Catwoman is a very iconic figure in the Batman pantheon," says Christopher Nolan in an interview with Empire Magazine (on sale this Wednesday). In that same feature, the director also confirms that she isn't once referred to by that name in the script. Remain calm though fanboys, because it sounds as if Nolan has a very good grasp on what makes the femme fatale tick. "I was nervous about how she would fit into our world. But Jonah was very much convinced that there would be a great way to do it and eventually turned me around. Once I got my head around the idea of looking at that character through the prism of our films, saying, 'Who could that person be in real-life?' we figured it out. She's a bit of a con-woman, something of a grifter. A hard-edged kind of criminal."

As Christopher mentions above, it was Jonathan Nolan (who worked on the screenplay alongside his brother and David Goyer) who pushed to include Catwoman in the film, and this is what he had to say about her involvement. "Chris often comes from a position of, 'Why should we do this?' You know, presumed guilty. But I said, 'What we're endeavouring to do here is tell a complete take on the Batman mythos'. And a complete take of the Batman mythos without the character for me was sacrilegious. You've gotta gave her, because she has a delicious greyness to her that helps define who Batman is. She keeps wavering on this line of, 'Is she a good guy or a bad guy?' Well, she's kind of neither. And that's why, to me, that relationship and that character only enhances the universe - and the Batman character."
I dont remember but was Harvey ever called Two-Face in TDK?

I dont remember but was Harvey ever called Two-Face in TDK?

They brought it up once as his nickname that other cops gave him, but he didn't get his face half blown off and go "You can call me...TWO FACE, and as you can see I'm a lot halfier!"

"Look, I appreciate that I am five-foot-nine and I weigh 185 lbs wet-through with bricks in my pockets. But there's a certain level of militancy and violence and damage that I guarantee you I'm gonna bring to this." Hardy suddenly brings his first down on the table between us, "I guarantee it."
This is a Tom Hardy quote, right? I refuse to believe I weigh more than him.

It's nighttime, winter, the twilight of 2011. Gary Oldman stands on a rooftop in Manhattan. It is his wrap day on The Dark Knight Rises and he's just performed his very last moment as beleaguered but honest-to-the-end police commissioner Jim Gordon. He is presented with a parting gift. It is a box frame containing Gordon's badge, a pair of his glasses and something that has particularly tickled him, a moustache, "retired", as he puts it, from one of his stunt doubles. Once the laughter has subsided, he turns to his director, delight giving way to wistfulness.

"Wow, this feels weird," he says. "You know, this is it."

"Yeah," replies Nolan. "This is the end. Unless you want to go whore your ass to someone for Batman IV...!"
