In all honesty, making all these gifs, and watching all these clips from Forever has actually gotten me to find some enjoyment in Carrey's Riddler, but only in the last half hour or so of the movie, because that's when he actually begins to feel like a villain.

I mean, for most of the movie it's just Carrey doing his schtick. It's more like he's doing the Riddler on a sketch on In Living Color than actually playing the character. But after he kidnaps Chase Meridian and such, and he works solely from his giant evil lair, there is this odd sinister quality about him. He's still hamming it up and is playing it full-on cartoon, but there is actually something kind of frightening under all of the jokes and goofy laughs.

The way he channels Frank Gorshin while adding in murderous undertones, it's really kind of fun and interesting.

I don't know. Maybe it's just the lack of music against his performance, or maybe all this Forever stuff is starting to drive me insane. I don't know.

The only redeeming things about Forever is the casting and the soundtrack .. the casting was REALLY good for it's time ... too bad the script and the directing didn't helped =/

Carrey and TLJ would make awesome villains with Nolan, for example

Who is Puddles? Has he ever posted in a Batman thread? I don't remember him.

Dunno if there's a really high-res one of that poster, someone should ask MessenjahMatt... he's on SHH.

Anyone know how to contact MessenjahMatt?

I have a poster printer and would desparately like to get a high DPI version of his poster. Will pay $$ if he is reading this!!!!

IGN rumors for dark knight

Meanwhile, a scooper informs Dark Horizons that "Harvey Dent will be in the film. He won't be Two-Face until the sequel after, but he will be a main part of the next sequel. At the moment, it looks like Liev Schrieber, has got the gig. Also returning are Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Linus Roache. The same effects team, composer James Newton Howard, the same costume designer - all back."

more rumors

Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 11:23 AM, 6:51 PM CST: LEGIONS OF GOTHAM is reporting that a "VERY credible source" informed them that Crispin Glover is a legit candidate for the role of The Joker in the upcoming BEGINS sequel.

No, because if you believe Nolan, he's never thinking about sequels.

I'm sure he thinks about them, but it's not like he dick slaps the audience by leaving shit out just to milk their shitty ideas some more for a sequel like a certain movie that came out last week (Madagascar 4?!).

Rewatched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight recently in preparation for this. Trying to go into this one not knowing too much.

Still, The Dark Knight is really intense and arguably, the Gotham stuff is much better than the Gotham parts in Begins. Still can't get over the fight scenes in Begins, for the most part, they look so damn horrible. The dock scene has to be the worst scene out of the two films, nonsensical, unrealistic and choppy as fuck.

Also, my suggestions:

The Dark Knight Rises |OT| You Have My Permission To Cry

The Dark Knight Rises |OT| Of Bitchin' Nipples and Holy Batfuckery
