Yep, in fact it's the opposite. Joker had a small role in third movie. Dent is dead; dead is dead. The only told Dent has in third movie is that Batman is frames for his murder and Bane uses this idea as a plan as well.

I used to laugh at people who watched multiple times a movie in the theater, like a friend of mine who watched Titanic like 8 times, yet I watched TDK 4 times in the theater... feh
