What's that? Joker blew up a hospital and threatened a couple of boats? Just watch this shit.

dat pinky

Goddammit artist.

It's kind of crazy how much success the Batman franchise has had in so many forms of media.

Best Super Hero TV show: Batman The Animated Series
Best Super Hero Film Series: The Dark Knight Trilogy
Best Super Hero Video Games: The Batman: Arkham series.

Before the Animated Series, he had 53 years of prep time. That's what happens when you give the Goddamn Batman 53 years' worth of prep time.

As I see it.

Joker was the arch enemy of Batman himself
Bane is the arch enemy of Bruce Wayne. Bruce is an alter ego of Batman created from Bruce's issues of his Parents death. Whatever Bane does will help Bruce define himself as a man and Batman as a legend.

This is why in terms of the situation, Bane is a bigger enemy than Joker who seemed to everything to just to get to Batman.

neoism, I can't seem to get a good read on what the hell kind of drug you're on.

As I see it.

Well said.

Nice.

Joker is Anti-Batman is that they are diametric opposites in pretty much every way. Bane is like a dark mirror, an Evil Batman. Someone else who's parents died at a young age, grew up and did a bunch of training montages and got super smart and got a theatrical outfit, then came to Gotham with big ideas to change the establishment and rally the citizens of Gotham around him as this legendary, mythical figure. Except in Bane's case, he was constantly getting shit on his whole childhood because he comes from a shithole neighborhood, so he does it all with malice and hatred.

Bane is Batman who didn't have an Alfred to mold him into a good man, just as angry as Bruce Wayne, just as smart/iconic/scary as hell as Batman, but with none of the morals he was taught.

I love the bad guys in this trilogy. I love great characters but inspiring bad guys is always a special thing. Noble but misguided Ghul, Scarecrow and his fear drug, Jokers absolutely extreme nature with 0 fear and SWAT skillset, Two-faces horrific presence, Banes nerve-insensitivity (sedated) combined with extreme physique, protective gear and military command. They are the highest draw for me in this film series.

So how do we describe Hush then?

Actual Spoilers:
Don't forget Talia. ;)

Speaking of bad guys, Colonel Quaritch was pretty great casting in Avatar. That's the alpha space marine, the mold which every other is created from. Absolutely cliche but also acted so perfectly it becomes art.

The best rogues tend to be some kind of dark mirror/twisted commentary on the heroes they fight, and the Nolan Batman series seems to adhere to that. Scarecrow is Batman's fear gimmick taken to it's natural end, Ra's Al Ghul is Batman's almost supernatural reach and desire for justice/vigiliatism taken to a dangerous, fascist conclusion, Joker is Anti-Batman, Bane is Evil Batman, and whenever Bruce stares at Two-Face, there's only one thing he sees staring back at him.

I bet Bane breaks Batman with a stone cold stunner. Will Bale sell as well as The Rock?
I only want to see Bane sell like HBK.

Bane gets punched in the face and does 3 cartwheels to a pipe, hits the pipe and does a backflip over the railing then flops around like a piece of sizzling bacon.

Bale can't really sell. He couldn't even sell the falling off his bike in TDK.

Bane on the other hand probably can. And he'll do it to put Bale over with the crowd.

Bale is the John Cena of acting.

At the very end he will get up and muster up enough strength to hit the Bat-U for the 3 count.
