Rewatched the Dark Knight in 1080p. So good. The quality is amazing except for the close ups, those were grainy as heck in comparison, so weird.

There are few trilogies whose 3rd chapter can not only surpass it's predecessors but also enhance their stories. The Dark Knight Rises does this and much more, it almost reaches the greatness of the the 3rd chapter in another trilogy,

So just to be clear, we should spoiler tag everything that's been in any trailer right? Don't want to screw anyone. Because nothing mess said is really a spoiler concerning new information. The second thing he said was even said in batman begins!
 
Fuck, I think I was accidentally spoiled on the ending on the SuperHeroHype forums. They haven't confirmed it is true, and a lot of people are calling bullshit, but it seems like a poster by the username R2ind has been spreading the ending around. At this point, I'm not worried the ending will be bad, just that I spoiled myself on it. :(

I liked the part in the featurette where one of them made the comparison to the old epic Disaster movies in terms of how Nolan went about constructing the scale of the "special effects", preferring to use real-world sets with a ton of extras instead of trying to create everything in green screen/CG like most other movies these days.

It's quite likely that no one could possibly know such a thing at this point, but has there been any indication that there will be advanced IMAX screenings with this one like with the TDK viral campaign? This is probably an unanswerable question, sorry. :|

Unanswerable question, but...

I would say there is a 77% there won't be. There are already screenings for a day before via Gofobo, but they all require codes. The viral was a week prior last time around...seriously doubting that now.

I thought the winner of that Chrysler Make-Your-Own-Commercial contest won tickets to a screening with the crew a couple days before, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: Ah, just checked, it's the red carpet premiere in NYC, which is on the 16th.

I just have a feeling that they might not be doing them this time around due to it being the end of the trilogy, to prevent spoilerage. This is, of course, completely baseless speculation on my part. I'm just holding out hope that I might be able to luck out and get into a screening like last time so that my broke ass doesn't have to spend $13+ on a ticket.

Yeah, I did that last time around when I was in New York. Still paid a bunch to see it with other people. For DKR, I've already spent over $100 on tickets in advance. :/

I found some more impressions about the movie. I don't consider the following spoilers, but I'll tag them anyway. (I'll only post the bits I found more interesting - and this is all about the person's opinion, anyway).

- The whole cast is fantastic, but if she were to choose someone that almost steals the show, it would be Anne Hathaway;

- Bane is just as good of a villain as The Joker;

-The ending is awesome;

Her ranking of the trilogy: TDK > TDKR >> BB
