I really doubt WB will let Nolan kill off Wayne/Batman. Anyone else expecting
a BATMAN INC deal where it ends with Wayne saying he had been funding The Batman all along and setting up a successor?

I guess they could go that way with the ending.

Oh man... Just a few more days and I'll be watching it.

Thats kind of what i've been expecting, something along those lines at least

ah, nope. I'm going to the July 20 2:20 p.m. show at Lincoln Square. I'll let you know the line situation for the Friday showtime. I imagine the opening weekend crowds will all be about the same.

Yeah let me know though it might be different since tons of people will be at work. Maybe a larger school crowd since schools are out.

Sat will def be worse when everyone goes. Hmmm 6am doesn't seem too bad now.

If you guys are both going to the Lincoln Center IMAX opening weekend you should plan to be there 3 hours early, no matter what time or day...unless you can get someone to hold a spot for you. TDK opening weekend was out of control at that screen.

Catwoman from the previously mentioned porno parody...

I'd post the latest reviews i saw for TDKR, but really they were just waves of jizz flowing in the streets all across the country.

Apart from the silly looking oversized Burton style cowl... Looks a lot like Brian Azzarello's batman costume... with a hint of Arkham City thrown in with the gauntlets.

The whole thing looks lifted straight from the Arkham games.
That's because it is. It was a straight up Arkham Asylum costume done a year or two ago by some guys on some awesome costume/movie makeup fx board.

EDIT - Here's some more pics and a story about it...

Few days? Color me jealous.

Got my tickets for the IMAX in Destin since I'll be on vacation there that weekend.

Yes, I'm aware that its probably a lieMax and no, I don't really care.

Post them anyway.

And I was busy this past week so didn't keep up too much with the thread but some of the interviews posted were great. I love the one with Caine and Freeman together. So much BAWS.

Nolan tells reporter to fuck off!!!

Okay not really,
Christopher Nolan is annoyed.

The scene: a ballroom at the Beverly Hilton. The occasion: a press conference for the director's upcoming threequel "The Dark Knight Rises." The object of his annoyance: a slight female reporter holding a microphone. The situation: she's just asked a question that references a key reveal near the end of the film, and...Christopher Nolan is annoyed.

"Obviously, you can't ask that question in a press conference, you'll give away the ending of the film," he snaps, interrupting her in mid-sentence
.

"Well, I'm assuming everyone here has seen it," she replies, caught suddenly and hopelessly in a downward spiral of public admonishment.

"Well, but who's the press conference for?" he answers back, a slight flush glazing the boyish smoothness of his cheeks. "Come on, I mean seriously."

She returns to her seat then, handing the accursed microphone back to the attendant who'd just awarded it to her, as if removing it from her grasp might somehow make her invisible again. I suppose that it did.

Again, don't care, it will still be better than seeing it on the regular screen. I'm on vacation so its not like I had a whole lot of choices.
Even if it's not the best situation, I still feel that LieMAX is worth it because of the sound and the scope. It's not optimal but it is worth it for a movie like this. If you can get to the film version, like I will back in Indy, do it. If not, don't let people bring you down.

So I'm listening to this expanded score......I'm sorry, but I will never refer to Molossus as "Batmobile Chase". Such a dull name. Molossus forever!

I just want a nice big screen, with good contrast, and perfect sound. No gimmicks. I want to experience the story and the world. That's it.

"If [Tom] were here, I think what he would be talking about is when I called him up and I basically said to him 'look, I've got good news and I've got bad news,'" Nolan began. "The good news is I have a terrific part for you, the bad news is your face is gonna be completely covered for the whole film, so you're gonna have to get across whatever it is you wanna get across through this character through just your eyes and your voice.

"And what Tom did, which I completely love but it takes audiences time to get used to," he continued, "is there's an incredible disjunct between what he's doing with his voice and what he's doing with his eyes. His eyes have this extremely threating stillness to them. His voice is this extremely expressive and different voice. And i've never really seen anything like it. The first time I ever saw him perform a scene with Christian [Bale], I was shocked by it. I mean I really was like, 'ok, I've just never seen this.'"
