I am so happy with this update. Always wanted NPC companions to be more active in the open world.
The last 3 seasons and an actual expansion for Division 2 had been fantastic, literally entire community is praising the changes, effort and transparency being shown my Massive is telling. Now the Survivor Game mode as well as a new Division mobile game going in beta.

Are they not making Div3 anymore?
Also lowkey Div2 has proven to be
a better shlooter than Destiny 2 imo.

I bought this at release and only put in 10 hours and totally dropped it. Looks like its had good support over the years. Going to reinstall I think.

Division 3 is still probably going to happen, Id wager.
Division 2 has ALWAYS had a fervent and consistent fan base. Content for the game was originally supposed to cease sometime after WoNY, but the audience was big enough that they ended up restarting content.
Its kind of like how Final Fantasy XI had content restart after a long while and still has a subscription fee to this day. It just has a large enough playerbase to justify it.
I believe the team was small originally(and content was smaller but good), however it's grown significantly over the last two years.
I *believe*(though I haven't seen it confirmed) that a lot of the developers of the ill-fated Heartland game were brought in after that was canned to help expand the scope.
The audience on PS4/PS5 is large and you're always finding calls for help or people in the social hubs or Countdown.
The only thing that they have hitherto not added is Cross Play, though it may happen considering how much content its getting lately.
I see much praise for Arc Raiders and a lot of that game is, to me, a clear indication of how much the Dark Zone played into its design.
The Dark Zone is still one of the cooler aspects of Division and hopefully it comes back in Division 3.

It's still in production. We haven't heard anything more than that, though.
Division 2 is legitimately a terrific third person shooter, and undoubtably one of the best GAAS ever made. Unless they drop the ball hard, I suspect there are millions of day one Division 3 players.... Also lowkey Div2 has proven to be a better shlooter than Destiny 2 imo.

So I bought this on PC, but I think I bought it straight from the Ubisoft store since I don't seem to have on Steam...
But it's 7.49 for the base game right now + 11.99 for both expansions on PSN. Considering getting it on PS5 since it doesn't have cross play.
Is there no PS5 update for this game? Is it just the PS4 version?
EDIT: Ok the gold edition which includes the expansions was 17.99, I grabbed that.

Yes, in addition to keep supporting The Division 2 they are making The Division 3, a The Division mobile game and a The Division movie with Jake Gyllenhaal which during Covid got on hold because it felt like a documentary instead of a fiction. It isn't know what happened with it (pretty likely continues on hold), but never has been cancelled.
The Division 1 and 2 were super successful, so obviously they will release The Division 3, which is under development. It would be very retarded to don't do it.
On top of this, the Dark Zones were pretty much the origin of the extraction shooters, which are a big trend now and I assume Ubisoft will want to reclaim an important spot there.
In addition to this, seems that after creating this 'creative house' subsidiary that grouped some big Ubisoft IPs and studios to bring more value to their assets and better milk their successful IPs, they will create more. So make sure The Division will be one of the leading IPs of one of them, which means they will want to better milk these series.

St. Elmos is still the best. CHC and high mag is unparalleled. Only non exotic AR right now compared to it is LexingtonOhh hell yeah! Now do I stick with Kingbreaker or St Elmos?
