I dont know how much people got to really unlock in the Alpha (or yet in the current Beta) but my group and i attempted to use different abilities but we always just ended up using the weapons/grenades and the heal abilities. Nobody took the time to use anything else as it wasn't necessary. Maybe further in the game baddies/bosses will necessitate the use of some of the other abilities/talents... but early game could be played completely ignoring everything but the heal. None of the abilities were that "neat" either. The game played better when we treated it like a more of a strict shooter than a ability-based RPG.

Damn that's disappointing, I was really hoping for a little more depth.
It doesn't sound like there's much strategy to playing with friends other than everyone shoot things until they are all dead.

In all seriousness though, I didn't see how I could do emotes. Enlighten me, please.

I was also exploring a random building in the Dark Zone and got jumped by a boss enemy, that was pretty cool. Guy roasted me in seconds, I'll have to come back when I'm higher level. :p

we have already seen hours of footageof hard mode Mission and lvl 20 enemies really taking a ton out of Players and Players regularly going down and dying.

tell me,did you ever die in an MMO before like, lvl 10 maybe? if at all?

Nice, thanks for posting these. Looks like I'll be upping the sharpness then.

There is another setting, forget what it's called exactly... some kind of occlusion? Do you have that setting turned off for the screens you took?

Chromatic aberration? Thats off by default luckily. In the alpha it was by default On.
 
lol, the game just froze on Gothalion stream.

Edit: And now the game doesn't want to restart.

But hard enemy's don't necessaries mean depth of combat. I was hoping for more class specialisation style gameplay.
E.g. One player dressed in heavy combat amour that can take a crap tone on damage + draw fire while another specialises as a medic or sniper etc...
However, at the moment it seems like everyone can learn / maybe max out every skill.

You can learn every skill I think, but you can't equip them all at once.

The idea is anyone can learn every skill, so you can change on the fly depending on the situation and who you play with. You aren't locked into 1 "class" If you group up with friends and everyone is a medic you can change to something else that could benefit the team. It's very nice being able to pull up the menu and swap on the fly in the middle of combat and not miss a beat.
