The E3 conference start times and the different timezones thread

singapore is same as Western Australia.

Thank you! The whole EST/PST and UTC thing was killing me while I was trying to figure out how to translate the time to a local time.

What about Central US times.
And where will I be able to watch the Sony Conference?

i told you, 5 pm central for Sony. (2 hour difference, like YOU told me)

also, is there ANYWHERE ELSE i can watch the sony press conference live?

Hot. I'm glad I don't have work the next 2 days.
Tomorrow night will be awesome. Tuesday morning will be even better.
WOWOW

the Sony press in not live!

nobody is going to broadcast it live as sony said NO to live broadcasting. you can however watch it over at IGN about 40 mins after the press conference is over.

keep checking the IGN after and during the press conference for updated on when they will upload it

I'll be at the doctor during Nintendo's press conference ... hopefully IGN will have a nice little summary for me when I get back so I don't have to sort through the 5,000 post mammoth E3 threads to decipher things.

You post on this board...you are a geek...

Didn't say I wasn't, but I've only watched one Star Wars movie my entire life, and am not concerned about cancelling everything I do to watch a play by play or video feed of a press conference online, or even worse - go spend money to fly out there to watch it. :lol

Thanks for the thread SantaCruZer, finally some concrete info.

Just too bad that the Sony Conference wont be broadcasted, but I guess I'll survive and extra hour or so before it pops up on either IGN or GS.

8am tuesday?

Blah.

Thanks for the info, I was too lazy to figure it out on my own, and all those stupid timers on the sites don't work properly :)

Yes but never forget you are one of us..... geek!

great thread Santacruzer. Makes that E3 reality come even closer. I'm seriously feeling as though I should hide from work and camp at home to check out E3. Anticipation level x 10000

I need to work out that DC++ thing too

do you have any idea what the requirements to get into Nintendo's press conference are gonna be this year? is it gonna be like last year where they were letting people with articles and cards get in?

maybe i'll just find out tomorrow night at the get together.

Yeah but there are degrees. A little geek isn't a bad thing, I'm a geek about other things too - like sports, joknig around, and whatever else. As long as you aren't dressing up as characters or anything like that, you should be fine though. :D

Calling all press: have Square-Enix press conferences been worth going to in the past? I have an invite, but I'm not sure if I want to go because I'll be driving all the way down there specifically for this one event. So... is it worth a 40 minute drive (possibly an hour if the traffic's horrible) each way?

Does anyone know if the Gamespot stream is free?
Yes.. it's not. I really hope they tighten the security this year too, cause everyone and thier sisters was passing around that pirated feed last year. :P

Looks like it's Tuesday off work then. :D

Tuesday is my regular day off of work. I didn't think about it when I chose it, but it's the day for many new game releases (at game outlet stores anyway), new music releases, and coincidentally, Nintendo's press conference this year.

OH YES :D

Can we add the Capcom Producer's Day, Square Enix Press Conference and Konami Press Conference times to this thread too? I think they're definitely of high interest as well.

Pacific time:

Capcom Producer Day - Monday 16th May 11am
Square Enix Press Conference - Monday 16th May 11am
Konami Press Conference - Tuesday 17th May 2pm

I wonder what the first two will actually be able to show, given the conferences that follow.

No love for Namco and Sega? :lol

Thanks for making this thread, SantaCruZer. It's a great help.
Are the IGN/Gamespot live feeds gonna be subscriber-only?

IGN live feed is subscriber-only, and I would expect the same for Gamespot, since that's been the case in past years.

My Insider subscription has been mysetriously frozen and their customer service is horrible. I detail the problem to them, talk about how I've tried everything, and how it must be on their side and if they could simply check my account.

Of course all I get in return is clear your cache, cookies, check firewall, ect. This is really going to piss me off if I miss the conferences.

Tommorow and Tuesday will be gold none-the-less.

Anyone find where it says you can catch the PC on Xbox.com? I casually checked it and couldn't find anything. A link would be cool.

Is IGN also streaming the Xbox PC?

So is there a way to watch all of these AFTER they happen, for free (ie no Insider, etc)? Are there torrents of this stuff or anything?

Is it possible to shut off avatars, smilies, and maybe possibly even the off-topic forum to help GAF survive E3?

Also, it's interesting that Nintendo is going last. Do they always go last? They did last year. I guess this way they can decide what they want to reveal.

I want now to be 12 hours from now :(

Avatars are all hosted on other servers their presence doesn't slow GAF, increasing the time lag between posts would certainly help, and blocking non-registered people would go even further, but the admins seem intent on keeping it open by any means.

You might want to turn avatars off in your CP anyway just so the records don't make you dizzy ;)

Australia Western times:

Sony: Tuesday 17th 6am | Not confirmed live
Microsoft: Tuesday 17th 9am | Available live at Xbox.com
Nintendo: Wednesday 18th 0:00 | Available live on IGN.com/Gamespot

Thank you very much :D

I thought it was 11pm. I have work at 7.30am the next day so I'm not sure whether I should go to bed early and then get up at 5am and download the press conference then. I'm going to be so tired particuarly because I'm going to Star Wars midnight session the following day.

How long after the press conference last year did it take for IGN to put up the high quality version which was available to download? Anyone know?

Damn, I am in class until 9:20 am on tuesday. Will there be anything significant in the first 20 minutes of the Nintendo conference? Will streaming be live, or can I start from the beginning?

ATTENTION!

Seems that the MS conference has been moved 1 hour(according to TXB). MS was scheduled at 6 pst but has been moved and will start at 7:15 pst. Can someone confirm that on this board? (registration starts 6pm though)

Ah, thank god for that, since that means I will not have to choose between the MS press conference and 24 tonight.

Also, damn it all, I am going to miss half of the Nintendo press coference due to class related matters.
