I'm playing SP through it and have done no group dungeons and i'm really enjoying it, there are a few bits scattered around like the Dark Anchors where everyone in the area piles on and tackles that and they're good fun and you tend to find if you're running through a SP instance there are other people there and i've always found people help each other out, I turn all the chat off as well, I would say go for it.

The way I understand it, there are actually two different dodges.
There's roll dodge, which is entirely player skill. This is affected by the Athletics passive, which reduces roll dodge cost per piece of medium armor worn.
Then there's dodge, which is a straight up chance to avoid damage This takes affect if you failed to roll dodge, chose not to roll dodge or chose to block instead. Chance is affected by Evasion, an active medium armor skill, as well as some other skills.

yeah, but the problem is that for the Evasion skill or Blur (from the Assassination line) you are wasting skill slots on stuff that should be a passive effect. Some enemies in PvE are immune to snare, root and stun effects so the Nightblade has no choice but to tank those enemies unless you have those dodge % increasing skills in your skill bar.

I'm going nuts the Desaan quest-Vision Quest is bugged. I get transported into the jail, and talk to everyone inside, right? I examine the gate and nothing happens. I've tried everything, and nothing happens. is there anyway to resolve this quest or am I fucked?

You can go to a different area where there will be higher level quests.

Yeah he doesn't seem to reply so you just have to check yourself to see if you can after you do. It looks like you can. You have the trader symbol next to your name in the guild roster.

Last week I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase this game on PS4. It's been a fun time so far with the solo content and I've had a couple positive pug experiences for the lower level group dungeons. But relying on voice chat has been a bummer for organizing these things, especially with random players.
I saw that there's a Gaf guild but it seems like everyone's alliance is Daggerfall? I went with Aldmeri Dominion on my high elf (I don't have the any race, any alliance feature anyway) and now I'm wondering if I'm out of luck on joining the NeoGaf guild? I'm pretty unfamiliar with the fine details on the alliances and how they interact so I'm not sure.

In a future patch, players of different alliances will be able to play dungeons with each other. I think that's a few months out.

I read somewhere that motifs can drop randomly from any crate, barrel etc. I never saw one after a week. Can I farm them somewhere?

Your best spot is in the chests at banks. It might take a few go rounds but I've found most of mine in them. Urns are good. Particularly at the Elden Root Temple Wayshrine in Grahtwood. I've found 3 motifs in the urn that's next to that shrine's pillar. It's unusual because I've never found any at other shrines, but I wonder if there's maybe 1 or 2 shrines in each alliance map where they drop quite often.

As far as I can remember I've only found them in chests, trunks, drawers, wardrobes, and cabinets. Never found them in crates, sacks, or barrels. The bank in Vulkhel's guard in Auridon is a good place to farm since it has a lot of those type of containers and also the 2 ships in the northern dock in Daggerfall. You'll only find blue motifs in your faction's areas and purple motifs can be found once you enter veteran areas. Dwemer motifs can be found in any container in dwemer ruins.

I found a blue motif in a knapsack. It was during that early story mission where you're helping the giant Nord woman find her armor.
How far are you into your character? Chances are you will roll another St some point.
When you do, do it on the Daggerfall side
So, I'm apart of the GAF EU guild, it says every GAF member can trade in the Gulid store but sadly I cannot because I need to be promoted.

People are stupid and buy my overpriced recipes constantly.
You should have been promoted earlier today, you can't promote someone until they have joined and I just hadn't been on, but you should be at the required rank to use the bank and store now.
As for expanding the Guild I would like to have help run and develop it further, the problem comes with whether you want to open the guild up or not. So far members are only from NeoGaf or are friends of said members, so there's not really anyone to abuse the bank for instance. I would be fine opening the guild up for anyone, I just don't know how others in the Guild would feel, it would likely mean opening the bank up to anyone who wanted to join, the hope being having a fee to do so would turn off anyone wanting to take advantage.
Getting a trader is also quite hard it seems, theres only so many and they are costing quite a bit from the looks of it, we are quite small so chances are as we stand now we wont be getting one in the near future, this likely wont change. Now if we opened up we have more players, who in turn can donate more money, which in turn gives us a better chance to get a trader.

Thanks Corris, this is the problem I have, whether or not to invite people because there's a lot of horror stories out there about the Guild banks being ransacked. Unless we just close bank withdrawals to new players? At least until they've proved their worth? But even then, can we trust them not to blindside us?
The bank is supposed to be used as a pot that everyone uses to help each other out, whether it's mats, weapons and armour that are no longer of use to us but will be to players of lower levels. It's meant to be a means of help to and from other guild members.
Opening up the guild could put an end to that and the bank would become a place where it's just the shit the don't want anymore, or it'll just never be used.
But then.
Opening up the guild would allow us to save up money to get a guild trader.
I'd really like to get a guild trader and that's what I think we should focus on, it's expensive like you said but it's not impossible, every penny I don't need will be going into the guild pot towards the guild trader. Having a guild trader would open us up to so many possibilities.
It'd expand the guild in terms of members and we don't know what's coming up in regards to guilds in future DLC.
Maybe we could have a vote or poll to see what options other guild members would like to see?
As we are now, every new member outside of NeoGaf pays 3000 gold to use the bank/store, we could do it in tiers? Like for instance.
Once you've been a member for 14 days you can pay 3000 for access,
Once you've been a member for 7 days pay 4000 for access,
For Immediate access = 5000,
Once you've been a member for a month or are a NeoGaf member = free.
Just a thought I had, this could put potential thieves off, extra protection agaisnst abuse, the time wait would be enough to put most people off, which by the time 14 days have passed they'd have just moved on to other, more naive guilds. Also especially at lower levels where crowns are hard to come by.
This is something that needs careful attention when trying to approach.
I mostly sold mats I don't use anymore and some motifs. I need to start looting everything for more recipes, the ones I have are not cutting it anymore, but yeah recipes prices are ridiculous.

You can freely switch between servers but you can't use characters from one server on another so you'd have to make a new one on the NA server.

Re the ps4 euroserver gaf bank, I don't really care who takes the stuff I'm dumping in there. You can take it and sell it if you do get a vendor if you want. I'm totally uninterested in the trading and economy side of things. What do you even do with the money you earn? I have over 80K just from questing and nothing I want to spend it on.
Another thing, I've got smithing up to 50 and am able to make any of the sets that require up to 6 traits now and have all of the basic styles too so if anyone wants one of those sets just let me know the specifics of what you need. Set, race, level, preferred traits etc. The only material I'm short of is the voidstone for the vet level +9 stuff so if you want that I'd need replacement materials.
