It seems the reddit denizens didn't like my opinion, but I don't think they'll be able to satisfactorily wrap this up in 65 minutes.

Series 6 has been quite an improvement from series 5, but it's too short. And that there's nothing known planned for after it sort of feels like its not worth bothering, but if you've got this far one more episode is fine, I guess.

It really is kinda sad thats its going to be over so quickly. I would have preferred more season 6 and less season 5.

I respect the way it ended, but not quite the way they handled Marko. I thought the ring battle that preceded it was wildly entertaining, though nowhere near the tactical brilliance of the great battles this series has put to screen. I expected it to be followed by a tactical showpiece against the Pella, but that didn't happen unfortunately. Not even the earlier battle was particularly crafty, taking place almost entirely at range. We got to see Inaros pull a rabbit out of his hat again, but I'd like to remember him as more than a gimmick/prop guy.

From what I understand, this is not a bad place to wrap the Amazon run, as a new network can pick up with Laconia. This season did feel rushed, but I don't think it was a major issue. I just wish there was a more satisfying end to the Inaros storyline.

Netflix needs to pick the show back up again. This is better than anything else they have in sci-fi. It's got a cult following. It deserves to continue.

Shows that are great from start to finish for 5 to 8 seasons are rare

They did as good as I think they could to wrap this up in one episode and it wasn't bad, but damn. Most of those battles very short and underwhelming.

As expected it's been left open to be continued, but perhaps this waste of a good story should be left here.

A good ending to a good show if you consider what they had to work with, budget and all that. It's very hard to make a TV show in sci-fi but they managed however the time skip is impossible to do with season 7 so it makes sense why it stops here. Huge respect to the whole team, they had little and still pulled off what millions of dollars of budget like GoT had could not. Any hater should shut up.

You cant even quote properly? Obsessed? Obsessed means you are in the extremes of hate or love, which I am neither. It was a good ending despite what they had to work with and people should at least acknowledge that.

Decent ending to the season. I felt a lot more engaged with the show in the earlier seasons, but it's still good. I hope that we can somehow get more.

Definitely a step up over season 5, but it just feels like the scope of the show has shrunk so much compared to the first three seasons. Probably budget driven, but I was hoping that Amazon money would help. I still hope we get to see the final three books in some form at some point.

Perhaps they felt it was a good enough teaser to rile the fans up enough to push for a new network to continue the series.

Kinda disappointed that there isn't more talk about this. The ending wasn't so bad. Def a big improvement over season 5. Though I did not love the season as much as the previous ones. Really ended up hating Holden this season. Also the stuff on that planet is meh.

It's not as popular as some believe it is. Some of it still feels cheap and tacky, and a lot of the acting I wouldn't call great (nor bad).

That said, it is much better than season 5 and with one episode they wrapped it up pretty well. Very rushed though.

Sadly this has been true for the longest time. The show got cancelled from SciFi(fy?) because of the lack of popularity. It had a nice spurt when it got brought to amazon but season 5 probably killed any steam the show had

Season 5 sucked. 6 was based on my least favorite book and sort of sucked.

Definitely felt rushed.

I was thinking they would kill off a few people but that didn’t happen.

Hopefully they reconsider making more and keep the TV series going

Draper going all Master Chief was kinda cool.

Feels like they had to cut the season short halfway thru production or something, with that kids plot line just left unfinished.

Kinda how I feel as well. Last two seasons were good, just not as great as earlier seasons. I think I really just didn't like Marco or his son and they got a lot of screen time, IMO the show kinda dragged with so much focus on them.

IMHO for me still the best sci-fi show on TV.
Babylon 5 is second but the acting is not that good and the CGI looks horrible today.
Loved BSG until the last season, the ending for me was just as bad as GoT ending.

Also, say what you want, but the Expanse has the best space battles of any show ever. Nothing comes close IMHO.
Everything else looks like sailing ships duking it out at a distance of 500 feet.

The kids plot was basically a short story \ novella that they tacked on to this season so it would have something remotely alien in the show. I found the final season very unevenly paced and anti-climatic. Still great sci-fi tho.
