I hate film critics most because they're almost all unable to express what actually made them like or dislike a movie. For the average filmgoer that's fine, just feel it out, but critics should be practiced enough to recognize and point out specific flaws and strengths. Their opinions mean nothing, they're lower than the average filmgoer, fuck 'em. These are the assholes who pan every horror movie that isn't about a family moving into an old haunted house.

Also, fuck Matt Reeves, and the fact that his shitty movies always achieve critical acclaim. Learn just a little bit of subtlety.

Fuck any awards ceremony that acts as nothing more than an industry circlejerk. This applies to film, TV, music, games, whatever the fuck.

Fuck silence. I've got tinnitus. Do you know how painful silence is? I'm overwhelmed by constant ringing if I haven't got sound filling my ears, I can't even sleep without some video or music playing in the background. White noise is too repetitive, eventually it just plays under my ringing.
I was Baby Driver before Baby Driver existed. I don't go anywhere without my mp3 player, earbuds always in, keeping that silence out and the ringing buried. And it's not even cuz of hearing loss--I had my hearing tested, I was one of only two or so people they get a month with perfect hearing, and even out of my teenage years I can still hear from 20Hz to 20kHz. Best part, no one knows what causes tinnitus, so for all I know this could be entirely in my head. An eternal CRT whine in my head, screeching me into psychosis.

Oh my god, you know what else? Fuck licensed music in film and TV soundtracks. Way to break the mood, I dunno what this song meant to the director, but it doesn't mean anything to me, and honestly it's just breaking my immersion. Usually--almost always--I mean like, 99.99% of the time--the song has nothing to do with the moment, it was just chosen because the director doesn't understand the value of original music or consistent themes and motifs. Maybe to someone behind the scenes the chosen music had personal meaning, but unless it's been used throughout the film for some thematic purpose, they can't control how it'll make me feel.
When non-diegetic (in-universe) licensed music plays over a dramatic or climactic scene in film and TV, I just cringe. "Immigrant Song" in Thor: Ragnarok didn't make me excited, it made me groan and plant my face in my hand. Way to ruin the moment, now all I want is for it to end. The movie, for the duration of that song, becomes a bad music video.
All licensed music does is make me less interested in what's onscreen, and tells me that the director or showrunner's not interested in putting work into their product. Fuck lazy filmmaking. Fuck licensed soundtracks.

I'd like to extend a big Fuck You to a past employer for not only making me redundant, but having the gall to ask for a week of free software support after the fact, and then giving it the "oh i see that's how it is huh" when told that they wouldn't be getting shit without proper recompense.

I live in a small as fuck studio apartment they basically took a full size, two story apartment and chopped it up into 4 studios, two on each level.

I’m on the bottom floor.

For some reason the association let my upstairs neighbors install hardwood floors and it’s a fucking nightmare. I’ve never known people could “walk so hard,” as Dewey Cox would say, like it sounds like they are trying to stomp through the bottom of their floor like a kid stomping through rain puddles on a playground.

They seem to have a knack for stomping especially hard around their place at midnight and also then at 4:30 AM every fucking day.

It’s basically killed my sleep. I can feel each step they take
