I’ll watch anything Mike Flanagan makes, this doesn’t look to disappoint either.
His last few outputs have not been very good so not having high hopes on this.
It’s an Edgar Allan Poe story from the 1800’s.Midnight Mass was awesome but thats up with these AI Generated titles?

Huh, my mom made me read a bunch of poe when I was younger but never read or heard of it. Guess I'll add it to my KindleIt’s an Edgar Allan Poe story from the 1800’s.

How IN THE EVER LIVING FUCK have you read ANY Poe and NEVER EVEN HEARD of FotHoU?????? It's like his #2, maybe #3 top tale! I'll give you "quote the raven, nevermore" is numba one, maybe telltale heart vies with Usher for #2, but cask, pit, and murders in the rue are not superior IMHO.Huh, my mom made me read a bunch of poe when I was younger but never read or heard of it. Generally speaking she gave me stuff like his poetry which I thoroughly enjoyed and I read what books I did read were in collected editions we had.How IN THE EVER LIVING FUCK have you read ANY Poe and NEVER EVEN HEARD of FotHoU?????? There was a half decent "Sequel" to Usher by Robert R. McCammon. Worth a read for fans.
Yeah, I guess it depends on the collection for which Poe gets included.Generally speaking she gave me stuff like his poetry which I thoroughly enjoyed and I read what books I did read were in collected editions we had.
Thinking back to my Moms great taste, she put me into things like Alien and my favorite moments was saying she thought the Hitcher remake was for pussies, turning it off and then renting the original with Rutger Haur.
Yeah, I guess it depends on the collection for which Poe gets included.
And they remade The Hitcher???
God damnit. Was hoping this would be good.Well that was kinda shit.
the reviews are good. but Flanagan's style is not for everyoneGod damnit. Was hoping this would be good.
Ok, I was being dramatic. It wasn’t shit but it failed to live up to its potential. And there’s not much else to watch at the moment so might as well watch it.God damnit. Was hoping this would be good.
It’s safe to say that he peaked at Haunting of Hill House. It’s all been downhill from there.the reviews are good. but Flanagan's style is not for everyone
Did you binge it all already?Ok, I was being dramatic. It wasn’t shit but it failed to live up to its potential. And there’s not much else to watch at the moment so might as well watch it.
I’m 5 episodes in so 3 more to go.Did you binge it all already?
Nah I’m hearing it’s lame from fans of his work.the reviews are good. but Flanagan's style is not for everyone
The disrespect for Midnight Mass in here is unreal.
I'm going to start this show tonight.
Big big fan of Flannigan, and I know people hate the word woke, but damn.
My favorite thing Flannigan has done. The disrespect for Midnight Mass in here is unreal.

For the simple minded, yes.Such a snoozefest

The last 2 episodes were really hard to get through. It is very slow and we are just waiting for the show to be over because we see everything coming.
4 out of 6 of the kids are gay/bi. What are the odds of that?Big big fan of Flannigan, and I know people hate the word woke, but damn.

He forces a lot of actors to go against their natural accent, I wonder if that is by design to get that artificially.Started watching this today. There is this sort of weird way that actors deliver lines in Mike Flanagan shows, I've noticed. It's not very natural. Maybe it's the dialogue itself? I'm surprised more people don't complain about it since it's not very natural. But I like it a lot. Kind of gives his shows a specific feel or voice.
I also have noticed that. And I think it is the dialogue and how he directs them. I'm also a fan of it. Reminds me of the off-kilter way From Software NPCs deliver their lines. Not in the same tone as From, but in that it's distinct and recognizable.Started watching this today. There is this sort of weird way that actors deliver lines in Mike Flanagan shows, I've noticed. I guess Roderick has the gay geneGlad I'm not the only one to notice.
I haven't watched the final two episodes, but didn't they call out every rich person, basically?I really liked it. However, the Trump references by Hamill were so out of place with the show. Best example of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
