Now, what inspires women to get haircuts that significantly change their appearance?

Am I wrong in assuming it generally be single women that change their hairstyle? They would sooner look for a change versus one that is in a stable relationship, no?

There's a reason for this, but I'm not going to bother explaining.

That reminds me, I need a haircut. I look like a goddamned hippy.
But some girls actually like it, just not girls that I could lay.

sometimes, yeah. i dated a girl who changed her hairstyle yearly for three years. change is good.
Well, I made sure to say "generally".

To pose it more appropriately, can it be at all safe to assume that, if a girl goes from shoulder-length to boyishly short, she is probably single? That's my circumstance. Granted, I don't much LIKE the change, but it's intriguing.

I wonder about that. My hair is pretty long now. Like this, only it curls a little at the back and sides. I'm not sure if girls find that attractive or not.

well that was the first hair change my girlfriend had. :( i dunno man, maybe it really depends on the circumstances. i guess if i wasn't involved with her i would've assumed she was a lesbian.

My first girlfriend cut her hair that short, then dated me. Then left me, started dating a gay guy a while after, and last I heard she was a lesbian.

I work with a single MILF who has almost the exact same haircut (except she doesn't have the large, uh, sideburns. Is that what they're called on chicks too?)

She started getting her hair cut short earlier this year and had previously had should length hair. So, in my experience, yes, your generalization is true.

I was considering posting a thread about why women think shorter hair is better. No! Long and beautiful! Stop cutting your hair! And no, it's not just single women who change their hair. It's the idea that if a look, even if its accepted as attracted, will get boring and so they will have to do something in order to garner attention again. Ugly isn't just bad, stale is bad also.

Myself, I am for change if its red or purple hair. All my female acquaintances keep cutting their hair shorter and shorter in order to keep it fresh. *shakes head*

If I must defend her honour (and mine)...

She's very affeminate and acts normally around girls. She seems to take a keen interest in me and is kind of flirtatious. I make her laugh quite a bit and I'd like to think that extends past appreciating me on a cordial level. Yet, she's very beautiful and, I suspect, out of my league. She also exhudes the kind of confidence that single women don't tend to have.

I'm never all that strong in being forward with girls, but it's especially difficult when the nature of the relationship can invariably affect the class that we're in (just ~15 people).

Btw, she generally ties her hair up, so this isn't much of a change. But I saw her one day outside of class, and she had her hair down. Good GOD she looked spectacular. Even a couple of the girls commented on how she looked (no, they're not lesbians either). So this turn of events is both disappointing and hypothetically encouraging.

FACT: women prefer shorter hair cos long hair is a lot of fucking maintenence. Washing and de-tangling and blowdrying. If I looked good bald, I'd shave my head in a second. Tho I think I look best with hair long enought to just touch my shoulders. any longer than that and its in a pony tail all the time as it gets to be this huge curly mass that has a life of its own.

I understand that shorter hair is more managable, but it's not always cuter. Plus long hair is great for pigtails and pigtails are the best hair ever.
