Because "Free to a good home" is mostly meant for the GAF community and not those that are outside it? Maybe??
 
lurkers are not part of gaf, they cannot actively participate so cant be considered members. sure they might come and read the site but until their registration is approved they are nobody's.

if i want to give something away i want it to go to neogaf members, if not i know i can just post it without email tags and it will be gone within minutes
 
I really doubt a lurkers took the keys, I mean you can't even subscribe until your a junior member anyway. The only way they could know about this is leaving a browser window open and having javascript reload like every minute (and checking).
 
it seems like this discussion comes up a lot in here. At the end of the day, the person is giving the code out as they see fit. It's their choice how they go about it. If you don't like it, that's too bad since it's theirs to do as they see fit.

Take a look at the forum index. 2430 currently active registered members and 3576 guests. GAF has tons of lurkers browsing Gaming at any time.
 
It's about time to start a new thread. Can't believe it took nearly 4 years to get to 20K posts! There should be an OP that has instructions on how to do the email tag trick.

The person that posted the code didn't care, I was more responding to the person that questioned him not keeping it a secret post.

Yeah, except he asked that whoever takes it please post about it so others do not try. Lurkers can't do that.

Whoa, it's crazy to think about! I remember when this thread first started. It was thanks to this thread that I ever got the chance to play the phoenix wright games. I also got to give away some fun work swag. I hope we can muster up a OT2. It's hard to believe it's been 4 years!
 
it won't be the same unless Master Ninja starts it. the rest of us ninjas are but ninja-dogs in comparison.

if he doesn't though, i'll volunteer. it's a great thread.
