We take you on a time travelin' adventure with Quantum Break, Day of the Tentacle, and Dark Souls III? We make it work. Also, we definitively answer whether it's the best time to be alive and if there's a good time to introduce your kids to the tumultuous world of Sonic.

Oh phew... I came here because when I went to the website to get beastcast this week it said subscribers only. And I came to rant.

But seems all good now. Carry on beasties.

Isn't the Zeno's paradox explained by a convergent infinite series and doesn't have anything to do with 'quantum' steps/sizes of physical objects?

Everyone is getting confused about the JPN vs International version of Dark Souls 3. The JPN release is feature complete Bandai's message is about people who are getting the international version early.

I love that Brads misinformation on the Bombcast led to an email misinforming the Beastcast.

lmao

It's funny how excited I am for Dark Souls 3 despite not giving half a shit about the story for any of the souls games.

New games are $48 at Best Buy if you get the Gamers Club Unlocked subscription which costs $30. And with Quantum Break you could easily blow thru it in a week or two and trade it back in to get ~$30 back.

That's essentially what I'm doing with Quantum Break in Canada. Jeff and Alex's discussion made it a very curious game.

If Jeff wants to see the cool bosses in Souls and BB but is was worried beating them will take too much time and effort, he can just summon help for those battles.

Welp.. Beastcast just as wrong as Bombcast about Dark Souls 3 JPN release. I feel like I'm going crazy. Dark Souls 3 JPN IS feature complete. It's version 1.02. The latest version. Online IS in the game.

Namco is referring to the International release which is completely separate from the Japanese release.

What do you expect the to do? Look up the information? Puh-lease.

Austin helped quash that last bit of doubt I had with Dark Souls 3 being some B-team develooed disappointment like Dark Souls 2 was.

I was planning on doing this, but with so many big games hitting so soon, I'm just gonna wait till it hits $30 or lower.

Austin really knows how to discuss a sensitive topic like DS3 pre-worldwide release. I appreciated his broad impressions and characterizations. He seems to sympathize with the players who are anxious to dive into the game with very few preconceptions.

Maybe for Americans, international means everywhere but the US ;-)

They literally are a myth machine on the level of chem-trails.
Cults are gonna be created because of complete misinformation and disinterest on the part of the entire site. This is the next Mario 128 and nude Lara Croft codes of this generation.

Fuck that was hard to listen to after hearing them talk nonsense on the Bombcast.

In the end, though, I blame Bandai Namco's PR department. They brought it on themselves by saying that "the international version" was not yet complete instead of using more accurate language like, "the English language version found in the Xbox One version of the Japanese release is not complete."

A normal person would assume that "international version" just means the version that is currently available internationally. It's not even accurate, since it was released only in Japan...

Maybe for Americans, international means everywhere but the US ;-)

This is typically the case.

I'm actually okay with them not fully unpacking the Namco bullshit regarding the botched Dark Souls 3 release.

Namco fucked up and their statement was confusing as hell.

About that penny and your bun saying. Having your cake and eat it is also a very old English saying. They didn't say it wasn't but kind of alluded to it being American.

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
At least Austin realized how fucking stupid it was and took a second to question it.

except he didnt and they STILL talked as if the "international version" was the japanese version, when its in fact the western version (you know, the one without online because it isnt technically out)
