Exciting stuff. I look forward to seeing how AI challenges our moralities, laws, and how we function as a society.
Copyright laws are gonna require a massive overhaul.Look on the bright side, they can make movies or sequels that we'd like to see...The fourth part of Back to the Future... or Robocop vs. Terminator
In a Fan Film.
User power has more influence, it's like cutting off the head of the Hydra... they'll remove one video but 5 more will come out soon.Copyright laws are gonna require a massive overhaul.
Joe Biden doesn't have Cancer! I saw a video on Facebook of him doing backflips and saying he's OK and that it's all a plan to make people feel sorry for the left!and also wary of all the boomer social media brainrot this will promote.
On the bright side, the boomers are already spewing crazy conspiracy theories, and all that was needed was a farm of Russian trolls. Maybe this won't make much of a dent?I am simultaneously in wonder of technology and the potential for the future and also wary of all the boomer social media brainrot this will promote.
That's what I'm thinking. Actors can license out the use of their voices/likeness for AI appearances in movies and shows.Look on the bright side, they can make movies or sequels that we'd like to see...The fourth part of Back to the Future... or Robocop vs. Terminator

LOL you think China cares about copyright laws.Copyright laws are gonna require a massive overhaul.
I'm thinking more along the lines of Western hobbyist filmmakers not going to jail. But, sure, that's true as wellLOL you think China cares about copyright laws.
Or, at best, make Snow White the way we wanted her to be in the movie, and that would be a blow to Rachel Zegler's liver, for example. That's what I'm thinking. Actors can license out the use of their voices/likeness for AI appearances in movies and shows.
Of course, before that can happen, there'll be decades of negotiations and litigations.
We're edging closer to a reality where AI helps keep humans divided, truth will not matter when every split off community, political followers, cults, etc, can show their own truth with ease to their respective bubbles.
No longer will people allow themselves to be corrected, they'll just use AI to generate their truth and believe that.
The 'lip sync', if you can technically call it that, is a bit off, and there are some quirks here and there. But when it works, it really works.
Here's a 5-min compilation of some of the stuff being created in the past day or so:
It's from comments like these that you know the uncanny valley is being crossedI'm kinda shocked to the point where I'm thinking at least a third of it was staged. If it is 100% AI then wow.
Also keep in mind that this is just the tech they are SHOWING to the public to use "for free".I'm kinda shocked to the point where I'm thinking at least a third of it was staged. If it is 100% AI then wow.
You can always move to North Korea, commieThere should be regulations and laws put into place for this stuff... yesterday.
Sadly I swear it feels like techbros saw this and went "Hell yeah!".![]()
"In the current digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second; preserved in all it's triteness, never fading, always accessible; rumors of petty issues, misinterpretations, slander. All junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate, it will only slow down social progress.
The digital society furthers human flaws and selectively rewards development of convenient half-truths. Just look at the strange juxtaposition of morality around us. Billions spent on new weapons to humanely murder other humans. Rights of criminals are given more respect than the privacy of their own victims. Although there are people in poverty, huge donations are made to protect endangered species; everyone grows up being told what to do. "Be nice to other people but beat out the competition. You're special, believe in yourself and you will succeed".
But it's obvious from the start that only a few can succeed. You exercise your right to freedom and this is the result. All the rhetoric to avoid conflict and protect each other from hurt. The untested truths spun by different interests continue to churn and accumulate in the sandbox of political correctness and value systems.
Everyone withdrawals into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum; they stay inside their little ponds leaking what ever "truth" suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large. The different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh, no one is invalidated but no one is right. Not even natural selection can take place here. The world is being engulfed in "Truth". And this is the way the world ends. Not with a BANG, but with a whimper."

We're living in a simulation, or a The Creator type situation will happen. Things will get insane either way. This is extremely impressive and terrifying at the same moment
I've been saying this for years. Most people who bring up that speech are people desperately clinging to the inner walls of their own bubble, when they see that people living in another bubble are "winning". It's always when "the others" are getting the edge that some people scream "the others" are being manipulated by noise and lies. The thought that they may be doing the same and being manipulated in the exact same way never crosses their minds. It's so ironic.Sadly I swear it feels like techbros saw this and went "Hell yeah!".
Or balance it out.On the bright side, the boomers are already spewing crazy conspiracy theories, and all that was needed was a farm of Russian trolls. Maybe this won't make much of a dent?
Ahh yes, fight lies with more lies, always a good choice and can never go wrong. My bubble is so nice today.Or balance it out.
It doesn't have to be lies. Weird to assume that.Ahh yes, fight lies with more lies, always a good choice and can never go wrong. My bubble is so nice today.
