The Google Veo 3 AI video generator now incorporates sound. It might have crossed the uncanny valley

The 'lip sync', if you can technically call it that, is a bit off, and there are some quirks here and there. But when it works, it really works.

Here's a 5-min compilation of some of the stuff being created in the past day or so:

We're edging closer to a reality where AI helps keep humans divided, truth will not matter when every split off community, political followers, cults, etc, can show their own truth with ease to their respective bubbles.

No longer will people allow themselves to be corrected, they'll just use AI to generate their truth and believe that.

That's just what we need, more overly animated people, like my doctor, I don't know what he takes but acts just like those people in the video.

I am simultaneously in wonder of technology and the potential for the future and also wary of all the boomer social media brainrot this will promote.

We'll finally be able to make our own TV shows.

And I'm going to drive people crazy by continually making new seasons of Rings of Power.

Copyright laws are gonna require a massive overhaul.
User power has more influence, it's like cutting off the head of the Hydra... they'll remove one video but 5 more will come out soon.

It's like that jerk Lamar Smith who wanted to censor the internet and never succeeded against the world.

I love this.

With Grok and Chat Gpt, I can take pictures, and they're great.

I also use Deepseek

On the bright side, the boomers are already spewing crazy conspiracy theories, and all that was needed was a farm of Russian trolls. Maybe this won't make much of a dent?

Look on the bright side, they can make movies or sequels that we'd like to see...The fourth part of Back to the Future... or Robocop vs. Terminator

In a Fan Film.
That's what I'm thinking. Actors can license out the use of their voices/likeness for AI appearances in movies and shows.

Of course, before that can happen, there'll be decades of negotiations and litigations.

Guess I'll soon find out if I'm smart enough to discern these from the truth or if I'm a dribbling retard like those who will fall for them.

Or, at best, make Snow White the way we wanted her to be in the movie, and that would be a blow to Rachel Zegler's liver, for example.

I love this.

They could also match the voices of the main characters, it would be very simple.

That way, the actors would become more humble. xD

"In the current digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second; preserved in all it's triteness, never fading, always accessible; rumors of petty issues, misinterpretations, slander. All junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate, it will only slow down social progress.

The digital society furthers human flaws and selectively rewards development of convenient half-truths. Just look at the strange juxtaposition of morality around us. Billions spent on new weapons to humanely murder other humans. Rights of criminals are given more respect than the privacy of their own victims. Although there are people in poverty, huge donations are made to protect endangered species; everyone grows up being told what to do. "Be nice to other people but beat out the competition. You're special, believe in yourself and you will succeed".

But it's obvious from the start that only a few can succeed. You exercise your right to freedom and this is the result. All the rhetoric to avoid conflict and protect each other from hurt. The untested truths spun by different interests continue to churn and accumulate in the sandbox of political correctness and value systems.

Everyone withdrawals into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum; they stay inside their little ponds leaking what ever "truth" suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large. The different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh, no one is invalidated but no one is right. Not even natural selection can take place here. The world is being engulfed in "Truth". And this is the way the world ends. Not with a BANG, but with a whimper."

I'm kinda shocked to the point where I'm thinking at least a third of it was staged. If it is 100% AI then wow.

Also keep in mind that this is just the tech they are SHOWING to the public to use "for free".

I created a few 30 second ads for a game that generated more "clicks/engagement" (projected) than employing a PR agency and paying them 45k to create ads did.

Sadly I swear it feels like techbros saw this and went "Hell yeah!".

Damn, that's pretty insane.
You can still tell it's AI with several of them, but there's also a bunch I'd honestly wouldn't be able to tell if you just showed them to me without context.

I've been saying this for years. Most people who bring up that speech are people desperately clinging to the inner walls of their own bubble, when they see that people living in another bubble are "winning". It's always when "the others" are getting the edge that some people scream "the others" are being manipulated by noise and lies. The thought that they may be doing the same and being manipulated in the exact same way never crosses their minds. It's so ironic.

People were calling 2016 a post-truth world. Oh, those sweet summer children.

despite how impressive it is. Something about it is still off the motion doesn't look fluid it looks interpolated.
Also the lighting etc is too perfect

Don't worry if you can somehow tell these are AI: users leaving comments about the "tells" in these videos will be integrated into future models to further pass as "real".

This is insanity. So many jobs will be lost.

EDIT: not AI after all. Boomer moment.
