In this thread basically you can make three wishes each, and hopefully they'll come true for the New Year or on Christmas Day (T-Minus 1 hour before Christmas on the East Coast...)!

Rules:

1.) Your first wish should be related to gaming
2.) Your second wish should be something personal
3.) Your last wish should be something GAF-related

And besides that, this is my shout out to all those GAFers who have made my short period time her so fun (so far! I'm watching you!)

My Wishes:

1.) I wish that someone would drop a copy of Earthbound 3 from the future on my doorstep.

2.) I wish that somewhere, somehow... my father could finally get a car that isn't broken ten ways to hell. And cheap!

3.) [Cheesy, Non-Effort Wish ] I wish that every GAFer has a happy and safe holiday celebration, from now until New Years Eve. May you all get the presents you wanted and when you get wasted make sure you have a designated driver. Cheers!

Shout outs (I'm too lazy to search out how to spell every name correctly, so spare me):

Mejilian(sp) - I love that little crazy avatar you have. I want that Wind Waker figure! Also, a fairly open minded individual... great for debates!

marsomega - You're the one that guided my hand to the #ga room initially, even though we disagree on everything. So you have a special place in my heart and a golden star of david.

Belfast - Stubborn as a mule and fiercely opinionated, but consistent and kind-hearted (really, it's true! It's under the flap on black tar!). You get a trumpet to grab GAFers attention.

Mike_Works - Someone has questioned your authoritah! 'Nuff said. The 5.95 is in the mail.

Tekuno Robby - You should post more. Not so much that you're a post slut like me but just enough so that I can track you more easily. You get a box full of chocolate pocky.

Shinobi_AMC - My IRC warrior-in-arms. You get to visit the future, in an age where IRC is not controlled by voice commands. Also the entire Criterion DVD collection.

DCharlie - You already got a PSP so your Christmas is pretty much complete. I'll keep wishing that those dead pixels magically disappear, though.

JackFrost - Your endlessly informative posts are always good for a read. So I purchased you the entire encyclopedia of gaming knowledge. 13 Volumes and a non-stop source of little known information.

Panajev - And speaking of informative posts, keep up with the technical garble. I learn more from your posts than from anyone else's, and that's saying something. For you, a sneak peak at PS3 technology - chips and all!

Shard - It only took you once before you finally got the thread thing goin' at GAF. That's a better track record than you have at TTB! j/k. Happy Holidays.

And for everyone else at GAF - thanks for keeping me ahead of the curve in gaming knowledge and have a HAPPY HOLIDAYS (even if you don't celebrate, like me!)

I'm pretty happy with what's coming (Zelda, Fire Emblem GCN, Fire Emblem 8, Animal Crossing DS, Advance Wars DS, Devil May Cry 3) but I really would wish to see Shenmue 3 very soon.

My personal wish is for good grades.

As for wishes, Well

1.) I hope to have either a DS, PS2 or some other system by the end of tomarrow.
2.) God, or Santa, whichever, Sends me a woman that I can marry.
3.) Well I've only been a GAF member for a couple weeks and I don't post much, but I hope all of the haters choke and die on their Christmas turkey, for 2 reasons. 1) Paychecks didn't come in to work so I'll starve, and 2) Fanboys suck.

Actually, it is 'Mejilan' and it's a rather nice sounding and stylized combination of my actual name, if I do say so myself. Otherwise, my name might have Ilian in it, and that'd be... nasty.

Still, even though I'm of the 'Hanukkah' persuasion, I'll take your well-wishing to heart, and return it to you 2 fold! Enjoy the holiday, dude, and keep up the awesome debates.

Occasionally rude and inflamatory (though generally not unprovoked and seemingly not malicious about it), but also not so dead-set in your views that you aren't willing to compromise on some points. You do make for interesting discussion!

And to the rest of GAF, the happiest of holidays. May your gaming be fun, plentiful, and nag-free (from either parents or significant others!)

Wishes:
1.) I wish my nearby Target would stock more NDS units so that I may finally exchange my defective one (dead pixel.)
2.) I wish that I'll be able to muster up the will power to keep up with my self-imposed regiment of improved diet and sleeping habits... and eventually incorporate a nightly exercise routine to keep myself healthier and bolster my weak constitution.
3.) I'm from the Middle East, so I have no reasonable expectation or hope for Peace on Earth style well-wishing. However, I DO wish for GAF to lose it's constrant stream of JM-like fanboyishness, so that Peace on GAF may be the order of the day (if only for ONE day. Hah!)

Edit - These Wind Waker toys are awesome. I got a couple of different sets on eBay, for a total of like 30 or so of these figures. Many of Link, some of Zelda, etc, etc. A buddy of mine got one of the sets before me, and created this animated GIF for me. It inspired me to hunt down all of the different sets I could find on eBay. They rock, as you turn the head, the eyes move accordingly. Kinda hard to see in the avatar, but I think you can still make out what I'm talking about.

Forget that part. For serious. Lumines and Meteos will suck my very soul from my body. Life will cease to be important for at least two months. Maybe three! And they both seem wickedly difficult in their own ways so it's going to be some challenge

That's a good one. Though I was a multiconsole owner in the 8 and 16 bit days, the industry was far from mature then. I missed out on "multiconsoleism" during the 32/64 bit generation for reasons outside of my control. I also started on the current gen with only a GameCube, and was honestly content. I eventually got a PS2 as well, and since then, my appreciation for (certain) 3rd parties has increased. Now I'm even happier.

I wish more people could be "happy" with their libraries to the point where MY 3rd wish would come true.

As for my wishes well, here goes..

1. I can't remember the first time I thought of this, but for some time I've wished for some sort of Kirby RPG much like SMRPG or in that vein. It has yet to happen though, and it's not a wish I'm very vocal about, but I hope it happens some day sometime, as Kirby is really the only Nintendo franchise I throughly enjoy.. outside of the spinoff anyways.

2. Heh, I won't go too much into this, but I would really wish something could help my mom retire soon, with plenty of money to live off of and to help keep life going smoothly for my sister and I. We're bone dry right now, we've been pretty close the past few months since my mom hasn't had a steady job in a good while. I'm in a bind myself, otherwise I'd have a job as well, but I won't get into it. Regardless, I'm trying my best not to get too into Christmas this year, I got the only material thing I really wanted, and I would feel it too selfish and wrong to ask for anything more. I'm rather glad we didn't put a tree up and all, this isn't the first time our Christmas has been pretty much nothing. Blech, regardless though, I wish for things to turn up for my mom, my sister, and myself and help us continue on live smoothly. We really need some kind of divine intervention here, as I don't know of any other place to turn to.

3. Ah GAF, I only wish we can calm down of these silly little pesky pokefests and just have plenty more decent gaming discussions. No pointing fingers, no cocky attitudes, no passive-agressive tendencies. Well, a miracle, and if only for a day I'd be happy.
