"Only in gaming" thread

You can eat food off of the floor to regain health

Double jumping is possible.
I love me some Bioshock cream cakes out of the trash can.

But I do love in games how my character can climb mountains, get the shit shot and beaten out of them but is stopped dead in their tracks by a knee high wall that you have to go miles around when your destination is just a 2ft step up away.

Rape is ok because "censorship bad".
First reply and already a colossal fail in sticking to the topic.

While I would even agree in finding it distasteful, If anything the "rape fetish" is way more popular in few other context.
It's very popular in porn (traditional or "hentai") but its prime spot to shine is erotic literature targeted specifically at women, where it's up there in the first spots if not straight-up the most popular sexual fantasy among women.

Repeatedly insulting the own customer base is something I haven´t seen in any other industries so far.
Yeah, this one used to be mostly a gaming industry thing up to a point, but infected Tv and cinema in the last few years.

Nobody cares who runs a company for toothbrushes, cereals or cars. But in gaming, CEOs are treated like celebrities. People from all over the world send their condolences, gifts or whatever to their families when one of the beloved ones dies.

Selling something that is a broken piece of shit, planning to push updates to fix it at some point - in effect punishing your most loyal fans.

Outlaws hiring a "Director of Content" and adding loads of quality of life improvements, weeks after the most dedicated fans had completed it was a kick in the teeth.

-Bad rated games aren't quite bad
-Even mini games has it's special place
-The great ones are that special
-Retarded players online are invisible and not quite bad mates to be frank
-You could meet mates on PC and play with them for decades like real friends
-Personal opinions are respected and not attacked
-Streamers are legends.

Trust Me Bro: The Industry

I stopped buying games Day 1, or even Month 1, completely last year. Even Indies can't be trusted.
