The Humble Monthly Bundle

Idiotic question time - I've never traded or sold any games I've got through bundles before, only gave duplicates to friends / family - but with Monthly and quite a few Humble Bundles I'm accumulating more and more games I already own. For example GalCiv 3 in this bundle.

If selling, I presume it's best to generate a gift link and then send this, rather than generate and send the actual key myself?

Generally, because a Humble link, the buyer knows it's legit and unused, where as a key could originate from anywhere, a Russian "grey market" site that might get revoked in months time.

Yes, but if you do end up doing that, make sure to write down which ones you have sold/given away. Humble tends to not save whether you made a gift link or redeemed a key.

Thanks both! If I do sell any I'll make sure to make a note of which ones and to use gift links.

I really haven't had much of an issue with that as long as I double check.

it will error with single redemptions from time to time, but if I ever double redeem something I haven't had an issue.

Anyone have a copy of Hyper Light Drifter they don't need/want? I know I have at least 20-or so keys for games from other monthly's and weekly bundles I can come up with if you have a specific title. Hit me up privately.
I just wish the site didn't make searching so time consuming. One page says a title was redeemed and the next says it wasn't.

All humble bundle keys are steam based right?

Or can you pick a GOG key if the game is sold there as well?

Theyre steam keys. No picking available.

You get some games with DRM free options like Hyper Light Drifter.

Can only choose one.

Latest bundle was decent. £9 odd for Dark Souls 2 alone was nice but I was considering Galactic Civ III during the sale and HLD is on my to play list so those were welcome too.

Does the next bundle come with the expansions for Pillars?

Well I'm playing Hyper Light Drifter and it's great. Thank god it got a 60 fps patch; I tired 30 for the lolz and instantly switched back to 60.

In for Pillars next month, don't care about 2K17. Admittedly the 2K16 campaign was hilarious.

Definitely just the base game, but $12 is basically the lowest price it's sold for in the US anyway, I'd imagine UK is similar. Not a bad deal if you're considering it.

I did forget that there are times you can pick. However, the norm is definitely steamkey only and planning for that will greatly reduce the chance for unexpected disappointments.

I'm pretty happy with this months bundle with Kero Blaster and Armello. Next months looks even better as I have wanted Pillars Of Eternity for a while but I could never afford it.

It takes a bad month for me to be annoyed about $12. This gave me DS2, Sherlock Holmes and that weird space adventure game, plus a copy of Hyper Light for a friend. I'm happy

That's because of all the Summer Sales everywhere, and it's not like it was Humble choice too skip them, but the Developers / Publishers, and rightfully so.

yup.

I mean humble could have thrown something together, but in general they prefer to wait to have better bundles than crap bundles.

and it's not like there hasn't been bundles.

there was a pc software one just going and there was an e3 bundle as well.

Yeah like what were you expecting during a large Steam sale? No developers or publishers want to undercut their own profits by offering even better deals at the same time elsewhere. Not to mention the pissed off users who just bought something off of Steam, then its appears in a dollar tier Bundle.

Typically if a game is available drm free from humble store they will include a DRM free version along with the steam key. For instance this month included a DRM free copy of Kero blaster and simple planes. This month also was the first time in a monthly I saw a option to pick one or the other for HLD.

Haven't seen a gog key option yet but it's happened before in other bundles so it's not impossible

I should really just subscribe. Buying the separate pieces I want is going to come out to more than $12 for last month.

I already pillars though and have no interest in nba 2k...ugh, think I'll risk it again. most months I only spend around $6 getting what I want.

I think my new strategy will be: if I want the preview game then I subscribe, if not I buy a la carte.

Edit: oh, if anyone wants to sell hyperlight drifter and Sherlock for $6, or $4 for hld and $2 for Sherlock let me know! Can't post again yet in bst, should have timed my previous better knowing the bundle would release!

That's what I've been doing. The initial game(s) offered is what makes my decision and so far I've been happy with what I've got and passed on.

Already own PoE, but wouldn't mind checking out NBA 2k17 if anyone has a spare key/wants to trade for a previous bundle game - Prison Architect, Papers, Please, Monaco, Space Run Galaxy, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Morphblade, Fran Bow.

Not much to offer, thought I'd see if anyone's interested anyway.

Sent pm for HLD

If anyone has an extra copy of pillars they don't want or need I'd really appreciate it, just shoot me a PM, I have also have some codes I can give in return wen I get off work today.

If anyone would like to trade a copy of The End Is Nigh with me for Hyper Light Drifter, hit me up.

Offer's valid for any other game from last bundle except DSII as well.

Edit: Welp, done.

Is this the appropriate place to attempt trading my old Humble codes? I have a lot of stuff available from old Monthlys and Bundles.
