The Humble Monthly Bundle

Momodora is great.

Eterium is pretty good too if you're into space sims, it's a very very blatant Wing Commander 1/2 clone, but a well made one.

Momodora is very cool. It was one of my favorites from last year.

There's a lot of good stuff in this bundle. I'm glad I subscribed.

Glad I didn't pull the trigger on the bundle. Wasn't interested in Killing Floor 2 at all and none of the other games look that interesting to me outside of Banner Saga 2.

Now Rise of the Tomb Raider is a game I've wanted to get for a while but never got even when it dropped to the $20s. $12 makes it hard to stay away. Just hope the other games are interesting.

Welp, I'm sorta pleased here, money's been so tight for me lately that I had to pass this one up, and Killing Floor 2 just ain't my thing so it was sorta a no brainer to pass on this one, but I was still worried I'd miss a huge wishlist item of mine, but looking at the reveals, only Banner Saga and Momodora were on my wishlist and while they look fun, they arn't "huge" titles I've been waiting decades for.

banner saga 2 - worth about $7
momodora - worth about $7 (and one I am excited for as it's supposed to be a great metroidvania)
killing floor 2 - worth about $10
Worms W.M.D worth around $13
Stories untold - worth around $5
HackyZack worth around $3 and previously in the e3 digital ticket bundle at the $15 tier
Eterium - worth like $1 and previously in an indie royal bundle

so I have a $39 real total value (aka if you had bought them at the lowest price previously before this bundle existed) on the bundle which isn't terrible but isn't amazing

not a bad month for me as killing floor 2 and worms are of interest to me, but i need more copies to make them actually interesting.

I'll be happy enough with Momodora though as that is a game I have thought about buying a number of times.

btw rise of the tomb raider has a value of $23 on it's own.

Typically it is the basic version, so yes assume in this case it is not the anniversary edition.
That makes sense for SE to include it then. Season Pass plus anniversary content are going to be $15-20 on sale. Hmm... the game is likely to hit $20 next Steam sale. Decisions, decisions...

Edit:
Anyone confirm it's the basic version of RoTTR?
If it was the full version it would be worth it just for that one game alone :).

There is no standard RotTR on Steam, only 20 Year Celebration and season pass for me, so this mean they are giving not standard one?

Actually I don't know..all I can find is the anniversary one too....

This September bundle was a trick:

They had two big-value bundles previously, which incentivize a continuous subscription. Then they drop this low-value low-demand bundle followed by the high-value early unlock. They manage to package a lower value bundle to many customers without losing their subs.

I see right through Humble.

Honestly only Baba Yaga and Blood Ties DLC are worth it. Well the skins look amazing too.

I bought the bundle and can confirm it is just the base game.

As long as they continue to allow "pausing" i'm fine with monthly.
For example 12$ is a good sale on tomb raider. whatever the bundle has i can either activate it if i like it or sell/trade it for something i like, this way it decreases that 12$ price more.

For those that "gamble" on monthly it probably isn't the best deal around.

Anniversary is Season Pass bundle. so GOTY version.

Ugh I saw ROTTR was the game so I jumped in before checking the BST thread and seeing people selling their codes in there

I got tunnnnellvissioooonnn

I was hedging my bets that Killing Floors low value meant a more exciting possible bundle when we saw the rest- boy was I wrong. Nothing for me this month.

At least next month I actually want the early unlock.

even by humble this bundle was low in value (aka lowest since nov 2016)

still a fine buy for me, but I can understand disappointment.

I do wonder though if this was always the planned bundle, or if they replaced a game or two.

Given their past work I have to imagine that humble bundle is working on a hurricane harvey bundle to raise money for that. It also wouldn't surprise me if they replaced a game or two of more interest from this monthly bundle in order to include it with the harvey bundle.

just speculation obviously, we will see if there is a harvey bundle this month.

I unsubbed for this month and Momodora was pretty much the only game I would've been interested in. So dodged a bullet there.

But next month...Got RotTR campaign completed on console, but DLC is tempting me...

Yeeeesh swing and a miss for me this month. I don't really wanna play anything except maybe worms?

Oh well. Rise of the Tomb Raider is sweet for next month anyway.

Worst month for me. Nothing I'm very interested in... shame. Considering I already have Tomb Raider may unsub for this upcoming month.

For those that are interested: Volantia (http://volantia-game.com/) was made by just three South Africans who had a prototype built in 2016, which Humble then funded to completion for this month's bundle. It'll be an exclusive to the Humble Bundle for three months, after which it'll appear on most digital stores.
