Funny this thread came up.

It prompted me to check out their site. He's got a pretty damn good voice, I'm might have to pick up their first CD ...

... and I just noticed on their site, they're coming to Water Street (Rochester, NY) in 2 days. Only about a 1.5 hour drive - and a fucking great smaller venue. Seen some cool shows there ... the Tea Party, They Might be Giants, Violent Femmes, GWAR, etc.

What's weird is they're also listed at the Post-Gazette Pavillion at Star Lake (Pittsburg, PA). I assume this is what I know as Star Lake Amphitheater? ... or at least a smaller venue on its grounds?

Just wondering, cause the place is pretty damn huge. I saw Lollapalooza there a while back (Smashing Punkins / Beastie Boys season) - that's one of my favorite outdoor venues.

Whoever does there booking knows how to pick some great places for shows!

Could be one of the three best songs of theirs. And I'm so upset that I was broke and couldn't see them last week. =( Thankfully this is like a pre-leg tour warm up, they'll likely go on a full fledged tour this winter. And I can't wait.

Indeed. Battle is intense. I'm also very partial to "Story", such a beautiful song. God, Jared Leto is the man.

i saw them back in May at the Q101 Block Party. I was really really impressed they were very together sonically and the sound sort of enveloped the crowd so it didn't seem so much like it was just a band playing music in front of you. At the time I didn't realize it was Jared Leto, but I thought that he looked really familiar so when I checked out their website and saw the name I finally connected the dots. Way better than most actor/musicians.
