Just a minor word of warning to anyone as space-constrained as myself thinking about buying Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 3, it says it's 135mb on the App Store but installs at just shy of a gig.

Next week it's out. Think there is a thread with info on gaf. Search the title.

Also penny arcade ep3 is out in US store. Includes dlc from other version for $3.

Is the game any good? The QL made it look fun.
I really enjoyed it on Xbox, it's the first RPG I've enjoyed in a long time. No grinding, classes are really fun, the Grandia-style turn system makes for some great strategizing, just really fun all around. I'd say you'll like it more if you like to experiment, if you find one set of classes that works and never stray away from it it'll get dull, but there's a lot of stuff to tinker around with.

Do I need to have played Penny Arcade eps 1 and 2 to enjoy 3?

Definitely not, the writing can be funny but the plot is pretty nonsensical. There's references to the past games but you're not missing out on anything by skipping them.

sounds cool, whats the ~length?

Ah, thanks :)

I shall check the first two out first, I think.

Wait for steam sales. I think i picked up 1 and 2 for like $3 this summer. Need to play them :)

I'll see how they're rated first. If they're highly scored I'll buy them full price. If not I'll grab them in the next sale.
They are generally well liked. Gameplay is reminiscent of super mario rpg or paper mario with action timing elements in a traditional turn base battle system.

Well I have an ipad 1 andddd maybe an incoming paiement for some work I have been doing for some time... guess what is instabuy ? ^^
Hoping the contract will be signed, I just finished in one go League of Evil 1 and the damn thing crashed every 15 minutes. A nightmare. And don't think about browsing the store either, crash crash crash.

I think I will give it to my parents, the thing is still largely usable as a web browser and a comic reader.

holy shit, punch quest is pretty awesome.

Yes. Yes it is. Do you by any chance have some tips for performing the power slam? The description is kinda vague and I am barely capable of pulling it off. I finally got past that quest but never figured out how I was doing the move. As best I can tell, you have to be in the air for X amount of time and then the normal slam becomes a power slam.

Punch Quest doesn't show up in my Canadian Appstore... Can any Canadian confirm it's there?

Bought True Skate on a whim today after hearing some buzz a few pages back in the thread. That's an addictive little toy. Plays to iOS strengths. I actually feel like it might have some proper depth if I sink some decent time into it.

This game has a lot of depth. Played it on the bus for about an hour and totally lost track of time. I'm getting much better, I can pretty much do rail slides on command now. The board goes where I want it to. Working on perfecting darkslides where you flip the board over and grind on the grip tape side.

True Skate is my new 'go to' game if I have a short amount of time to kill.

I wish it had an option to save and upload replays in conjunction with the existing rewind feature so we can show off some flawless runs.

Get Letterpress if you don't have it already. Great game.

You're right, great game! I think expanding the game for more players on a bigger board would be awesome. There would be a lot of scenarios where you'd need to team up against the person winning and then eventually stab your teammate in the back to win, haha.

Wow, this is awesome. Has it been mentioned before? I hope this catches on, it's really fun, the strategy of Scrabble is my favorite part and this scratches that itch, and while I could be wrong, it seems like it'd be much harder to cheat on this since you don't have to use adjacent letters.

I'm close to selling my iPad 2 and it's nicely thin and kinda light. Though I'll replace it with an iPad 4 - what are people's impressions of The New iPad for gaming only?

Because I plan on having the iPad 4 as a gaming hub. And use the iPad Mini for reading, writing, note taking and such.

You could accomplish both with 1 device you know.

And due to lower resolution, the iPad mini will still handle pretty much all iOS games fine.

love my iPad 3 and use it mostly for games. I could only imagine the iPad 4 being a beast for gaming with the updated processing power.

It's really good. Does anyone know what does unlocking the full version gets you?

But I want both, problem?
I don't wanna carry around a heavy-weight iPad 4, while I'm not too much for bringing my iPad 2 either but I have been waiting for iPad Mini for 3 years now, it's more portable. I only want iPad 4 for gaming at home and the Retina.

I like this impression, thank you. :)

Really quite like random heroes. Seemed like a grinding IAP fest, but got the best gun and outfit at the start of level 3 with minimum effort.

Pretty fun free game from there.

Nope. But would like to know why if you don't mind answering.

I've still haven't found a use for a tablet in my life. Got a ultra book iPhone and kindle for my daily duties, but I guess I'm a weirdo these days xD.

By the way don't take my harsh tone personally, I'm just having a stressful morning.

But I actually edited in why I would like em' in my previous post. I would love to have a full-size iPad with Retina which I can store games and games only on. It'll stay in my home like my iPad 2 did (which I would sell if I am to get iPad 4).

The iPad Mini would be for reading, editing PDFs, writing notes and bringing it along with me to my places - it's lightweight, smaller and thin.

Of course I could also just keep my iPad 2 and get the iPad Mini. But I can find different uses for both sizes of tablets.

I might also just be weak.

I think a lot of people feel that way until they own a tablet, I've been surprised at how much I use it. I haven't turned on my laptop in weeks, though my Kindle still gets daily use, still can't beat eink for reading. The electronics I carry with me are the same as yours with the ultrabook replaced with my iPad, and I have a decent laptop at home for when I need it.

Owning both an iPad and iPad Mini is a head scratcher for me though, seems crazy to spend that many hundreds of dollars on tech to have just the right tablet for any situation.

Do you also have a iPhone?

iPhone 5.

And now you might just be way more confused as to why I have this need. ;)

I might reconsider keeping my iPad 2 and not buying the iPad 4. But the Mini is set in stone. That one I have wanted for a long while. I much rather use that for reading my papers in PDF, editing them, taking notes and writing on with my stylus than use my iPhone 5.

EDIT:
I actually think you might have talked me out of upgrading my iPad 2 to iPad 4.

I might actually buy an iMac 27" instead for my school and work of creating websites. Then use my MacBook Air 13" for my article writing job.

EDIT 2:
Done. I'm keeping my iPad 2 and not buying iPad 4.

Not free for me

Then it shows as free.

You're quite clearly mental.
