The Killing Floor 3 Stress Test is live right now

As we have approached the launch of Killing Floor 3, we've seen the growing anticipation from fans to get their hands on the game. Towards that goal, the team has been focused on optimizations, polish and enacting player feedback, so we can ship a great game to fans on July 24th!

Stress Test Details:
This Sunday between the hours of 1-3 PM EST (-5 GMT) and 5-7 PM EST (-5 GMT), fans on Steam can join a Multiplayer Stress Test of Killing Floor 3. Please keep in mind that this testing schedule could change at any time as testing continues. To sign up to participate, make sure to request access on the Killing Floor 3 Steam page!

For this Multiplayer Stress test, we ask the participants not to stream or record. This test is designed to help our team and partners ensure that the multiplayer environment stays as stable as possible at launch!. We hope to open this test to other platforms next week, with more details to come.

Post Launch Features:
Those who have been a part of the Killing Floor, or any Tripwire Interactive game, journey will know that launch is just the beginning. We'll be working to continue to refine, evolve and grow the Killing Floor 3 experience post launch and are already working towards items we know the community will enjoy that just didn't make the launch window. Some key items we want to make sure fans are aware of:
  • We are continuing to action player feedback that did not fit into our current launch window which includes:
    • Nightfall Specialists (characters) being able to pick any Perk
    • Enhanced and Refined Third Person Animations for character movement and weapon handling
    • Making Text Chat available for in server communication

Known Issues:
There are also a few known issues that the team is already aware of and working to resolve in our launch window (which could be post launch). These items can be found on our Support Site here: https://support.killingfloor3.com/en/knowledgebase/article/known-issues

We can't wait to share even more of what is to come in Killing Floor 3 including new maps, weapons, zeds, specialists and perks for fans to enjoy. So stay tuned for the full Killing Floor 3 roadmap, as we share more details of what is yet to come!

I played this for about 5 minutes before uninstalling. Absolute mess performancewise and the input lag was atrocious. Even on low settings it was still somewhat noticeable. Of course, then you're stuck with even more muddy visuals which at that point you might as well just play KF2 (not that the previous game looks bad or anything but it kind of defeats the purpose of this new entry if they can't even improve upon the most basic of features: visuals).

This will bomb on release and I expect mixed to mostly negative reviews on Steam. Another game that will maybe be good in a year or so after they've fixed all the issues and added content.

Tried it. It looks pretty blurry with DLSS and the guns doesnt feel good at all.
really that's not good to hear, i mean Killing Floor 1 had some of the best feeling guns that I've ever played the magnum felt fantastic. its something ill keep an eye on and see about picking up at a later date

Man, I really don't understand how they missed that feedback. SO many people said the weapons felt awful previously. Such a shame. This game just isn't going to do well.

imho KF2 was even a regression from KF1

I really miss the grungy atmosphere and aesthetics of KF1. I love the sequel and think it improved upon a lot of things, especially UI and presentation, but I was hoping for KF3 to return to the tone of the original.

They did exactly the opposite - terrible.

Killing Floor 1 and 2 are great, let's see if they can manage to drive this franchise into the ground.

I loved KF1. KF2 was fine but early on balance was wank (the final boss was too hard, the waves too easy) and it felt like some of the magic was lost.

Zero expectations on this.

Just played one round. Lasted over 30 minutes, which felt a bit long but it was pretty fun.

I don't believe I've played the previous games but everything is pretty straightforward so far.

Class system seems good. Everyone on the team contributed something and it seemed to be at the right moments.

I can only imagine it gets better as you progress and unlock things.

Also looked great and ran really well.

If I don't pick it up at launch, I definitely will at some point.

What's your hardware btw?

Played one game and uninstalled it. This is really rough.
Graphics are really bland, maybe the worst use of UE5 I have seen so far.
It has a shader compilation at the start. But there are still some stutters during gameplay, probably due to streaming assets.
Combat seems ok, but the mouse has a laggy feel. As if it's using triple synced buffering. It feels really bad to play.
Sound is Ok, but the one liners are terrible and break immersion.
I have 260 hours on KF2, and had a lot of fun with it, but I don't think I'll get this one unless there are a ton of improvements.

How they fucked this up coming from KF2 I'll never know. Like others have said it feels awful and there's no charm to it.
