There's a lot of weird stuff with his girlfriend, model/actress Charlotte Kirk, who stars in this, of course. Sounds like he lost his mind scoring a hot girlfriend who might be toxic and is now resigned to burning bridges/making vanity projects for her.
I have no idea the details, and I could be completely wrong, but there was a scandal blowing up around her, where she was sleeping around trying to become a star, maybe blackmailing people. Or maybe she is the victim, or maybe it's just all gray. I have no idea. But Marshall is now rubbish as far as I'm concerned.
