I've had a couple of glitches too, but I did in the original, and certainly it's dropped frames, but the original bounced randomly around the mid-twenties most the time.Ha! I've been thinking it feels like a rush job this whole time. I've had some weird glitches and a few moments of slowdown.
What difficulty should I play Left Behind on? I haven't played it yet so I have no idea what to expect. Is there a lot of combat in it? I'm very well versed in the main game.
WAT
Someone enlighten me on this stealth brick tech

im having that first experience and it's really something else.I've had a couple of glitches too, but I did in the original, and certainly it's dropped frames, but the original bounced randomly around the mid-twenties most the time.
It's all relative I guess. It's not super polished, but it's a colossal improvement over the original in basically every area, and it would make for a far better first experience I think.
How far are you?im having that first experience and it's really something else.
The frame rate is solid enough that it is a rock solid 60. It's a beauty and very smooth. Feels like a PC game.
Oh man, I had no idea.Equip the brick, sneak up behind a Clicker, click Square until it's head is pulp.
Disclaimer: It will make noise and attract other Clickers. So have an escape route and hiding place planned out.

That's the real magic of this game, it only gets better.
Play on Grounded twice.
Start on Hard without Listen Mode on. Play Grounded and hate life.

Oh man, barely scratching the surface. It was good stuff.Just got through the barrier out of the safe zone. You have to venture through the tipped over skyscraper and get out the other side. I just got out to the otherside and saw the cutscene where joel tries to tell ellie to be careful crossing the plank and she scoffs at him. Then he poignantly looks at his broken watch.

Purely annectodal but I went to 3 Gamestops to finally snag my copy after the PS3 version trade in to get $25 dollars credit. Seems this selling well.
Anecdotal here as well but it is selling well. Friend tried to get a copy and all EB Games, Best Buy, and Futureshops in my city are completely sold out. Best Buy and Futureshop are also sold out online. Only Amazon.ca seems to have it in stock.

You can do it from the front too, since they can't see.

Oh yeah, what's up with arrows? I thought you could retrieve them if you scored a headshot but that isn't always the case. Anyway to maximise their uses? Playing survivor so maybe the break more than usual.
And damn Clickers bobbing and weaving skills
Run to an area that's open and then crouch and slowly start walking away while you avoid the clickers. They'll all gather at the last area they heard your loud footsteps. Either molotov or sneak past them.

If you're unseen and you start battering their head with a brick, they won't counter you. They only parry you when you attack them when they are aware of you.True, but from the front you run the risk of them parrying one of the blows and then dining on your trachea.
It was a year. The 6 month dev time was clearly an issue.

So if i pumped the difficulty to grounded, can i still earn Grounded difficulty trophy?

You have to complete every chapter at the Grounded difficulty to earn the trophy. So any earlier chapters would need to be redone to get it. At least that's based on how the game applies it to each chapter and allows the NG+ glitch to work.
They started coding in February.

"While ports of classic games for new consoles is a decades-old trick, Naughty Dog faced a massive challenge getting the game ready for its summer launch. "We did not have a PlayStation 4 engine capable of running anything on January 1st, 2014," says Gyrling, who spearheaded PS4 development at the studio. "The Last of Us shipped in June of 2013, but we didn’t start writing any code or move people over to working on the remaster until February of 2014.""
I've heard multiple things from different interviews. As far as I can tell they started thinking about it soon after launch, didn't start engine work until December, and it took them until February to even have a buggy, laggy, ugly version of the game running on PS4.
I'm playing on Hard and finding theencounter incredibly difficult. There's not much room to avoid enemies but taking them out while staying undetected is a real challenge.high school
I don't know who to believe. I'm inclined to believe the video interview, because I can actually hear him talking about it, and know nothing can have been lost or editorialized, but the article is much more detailed in time scales for the process.http://www.theverge.com/2014/7/29/5945427/how-naughty-dog-brought-the-last-of-us-to-the-PS4

I don't know, a year, six months, I don't even think it matters really, it's not an accurate guide to man hours without the staff size anyway.
Both stories don't seem to make sense in the context of this helping the UC4 engine either, given it should have been up and running so long before either story claims the process began.
