Ah yes, but here's the thing. He wouldn't have been fine. He would have convulsed, frothed at the mouth, and actually died in front of everyone. Then came back.
So did Damon, in his Variety interview with Maureen Ryan. And if what he's hinting at comes to pass, it's going to be GLORIOUS. Putting opening credits hints/next week's episode title/likely opening under tags just in case:
Damon referenced that
the opening credits will change every week, and knowing that next week's episode title is "Don't Be Ridiculous", he asked "when's the week that we do the Perfect Strangers thing?".
I'm pretty confident that next week's opening titles are going to be
I feel like, this series, especially season 2, is TV that I have to really pay attention to during the whole show. It's not that it's overly complicated... it's just that it's really well done in regards to how things are portrayed, scenes are shot, etc.
It's really wonderful television. Greater opener for season 3.
Thanks for pulling these screengrabs! I'm not 100% on that being money. Look closely at the weird beads sticking out of the wad. It still looks like black leather of some kind.
I'm really glad so much of that Abba trailer was shots from this episode, means there's a lot left to show. Anyway, just random musings.
In the trailer (might be a spoiler)
We see a number of shots that seem to represent some kind of facility launching a missile.
. Then, as Dean explains his conspiracy (werewolves are running the goverment) he says "that's how they get their finger on the button." Kevin correcting him with "paw on the button" means it was probably just there for a laugh, but you never know. Also pretty amusing that his conspiracy is arguably as likely an answer to everything as all the other shit people come up with (Gary Busey).
Also wondering if Dean with "haunt" Tom ala Patti and Kevin, though probably not as there's no biological link to show that Tom would have the same mental problems as Kevin and Kevin Sr.
The framing of Nora seems pretty deliberate, we see her ride a bike away from the house (right before Kevin does his bag trick) and then when we see her again on a bike in the future. Bike = Delorean? (that was a joke).
The birds in the intro scene that bring messages to change the date of the (not real) apocalypse are a pretty easy parallel with the doves at the end, though there's alot more doves - and the mystery Nun says "We don't usually get so many, so close together - love is in the air." It's probably just there to show that Nora doesn't care about reading all these messages, whereas others put great faith in them, but it could be something more. Also pretty funny that the intro is based on the Millerites and their "Great Disappointment".
Glad to see Tom and Kevin share some scenes finally, but Kevin telling him about his assassination of fake Patti and her bodyguards - as if it was a real event - was pretty goddamn weird...
Didn't really buy John and Laurie as a couple. I'm sure they'll show something to do with that later (or maybe they won't) but the scene with her feeding him the guys info to try and "cure" him was pretty great; especially as I was watching with a friend who believes in psychic bullshit.
I hope Mary isn't leaving for good, I hope she'll be kept around by "events", because I really like her from the West Wing and she's finally able to deliver lines for once.
I'm also curious if the whole "poison the water" scene was an elaborate setup purely so they can (seemingly) spontaneously baptise Kevin. John using the word supper in the church scene was pretty funny too, and that core group could easily be Kevin's disciples, which I guess would mean Nora ends up being Judas(?) The overt Kevin = Jesus stuff has to be a red herring. He could just as easily be the Antichrist.
And holy shit I've wrote a ton, congrats if you read it all and didn't realise that I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Just watched this again since i was out of it yesterday first time i saw it but yeah this was fantastic. This season gonna be real good. Real real good. And the GR getting fucked nuked by a drone was amazing lmao.
Some reviews said that some characters only pop up for an episode or two. And given where the show is headed, I think a grand majority of the cast may be only in one or two more episodes each.

What if the dog was the senator getting the evidence back? Lol I don't believe dudes theory for shit but who knows with all the crazy shit going on. Terrible wait between episodes, one of my absolute favorite shows ever! Is Lost similar or worth watching thru? As someone who didn't mind the sopranos ending is losts really that bad? (No spoilers please)
The issue isn't just the final episode or the final scene - the entire last two seasons are drivel. The writers tried to have their cake and eat it too and it just did not work at all. There are some who loved it though, so ymmv.
I think I am gonna give show a look. I'll make sure to start up Season 1 when I get home. Although, I have no idea what to expect, what it's all about and all that. But I've heard great word-of-mouth recently that it have gotten me a little curious.

It's a little more than that - LOST felt like it was making it up on an episode to episode basis. Weird things would happen and you'd wonder how it fit into the puzzle, and then you'd never get an explanation, so it was like a five year old trying to tell you about his day and you've already heard he rode a dinosaur into a country named *tongue noises*.
The Leftovers may or may not go into this territory - we just saw Nora collecting pigeons in the future in Australia, next episode we might see Matt harvesting Asiatic clams on Mars. "What does it mean?!"

Just dont expect the show to give you answers on everything. It just not that kinda show.
The viewer is on the same level as the characters really as no idea what is happening sometimes and the rollercoaster that comes with that.

Patti was the type of villain that you wish was on the hero's side because they would make an incredible team. She was an incredible foil to Kevin - at least as good as Gul Dukat was to Captain Sisko. I could see this being plausible.
If they go down the path of explaining anything, I expect that the voices haunting Kevin and his dad were demons and only by exorcism can they get rid of them - each time an exorcism is performed there's an earthquake. Matt's wife woke up during an earthquake, maybe a demon jumped over to her, which is why she woke up out of a coma and "remembered" her previous waking, which is not how comas work AFAIK. And now she wants to leave Miracle because of demon fuckery.
Kevin will perform some Christ-like feat and the world will either forget about him or his disciple Nora will be his Peter and deny him ("no" to "does the name Kevin mean anything to you") even though he saved the world.
I mean he went through Limbo wth Virgil last season, if they go in a more fantasy oriented direction (which they are) I expect it to get this weird.
